5.3.3 Sidemargins
To set the leftmarginto a particularcolumnyou sendthiscommand:

inwhichnisthecolumnnumberfortheleftmargin.(Notethatthecharacter
t is a lowercaseL.)
CohunrIwidthisdeterminedbythecurrentpitch(forexample1/12inchfor
12-pitch),or is setat 1/10inchforproportionalspacedtext.Oncemargins
are set, changingthepitchdoesnotaffectmargins.
Samerulesapplyfor the rightmargin:yousendthiscommand:

in whichn is thecolumnnumberfor the rightmargin.
5.3.4 Howto centerorjustify text
If your text processor won’t center or line up text for you, your Star
LaserPrinter4 candothejob. Ymtifiedtextprintsflushagainstoneorboth
sidemarginson boththe rightandleft sidesof thepage.
You turn on the centering or justificationof text with the following
command:

Backspaceandhorizontaltabswillonly workin left-justificationmode.
5.3.5 Linespacing
FX-850emulationoffersfivediffenmtwaysto verticallyspacelines.The
default is 6 lines to the inch, but you can changeline spacingwith the
commandsin the followingtable. (In the first four of these commands,
rememberthatthenumberfollowingthe<ESC>codeis a rtal number,not
the ASCIIsymbolfor O,1,2 or 3.)
