S A . 3 F E AT U R E S The SA.3 professional scratch mixer has been designed specifically for scratch DJs. The SA.3 is a clean, simple and easy to understand mixer with the features that will help you as a scratch artist. • 2 channel scratch mixer. • Curve adjustment and reverse switch for Crossfader and Linefaders. • User replaceable / upgradeable faders. • Each channel features gain control, 3 band eq, and pan. • Headphone mute switch. • Dual headphone outputs (1/4"/6.3mm and 1/8"/3.5mm).
DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTIONS TO P PA N E L 1. Microphone level - Controls the attenuation level of the microphone input. Use the microphone level adjustment to find the right gain for your microphone, then use the microphone mute button (3) to mute the input when not in use. 2. Microphone Mute LED - Indicates when microphone mute button (3) has been engaged. 3. Microphone Mute - Mutes the microphone input.
MIXER FUNCTIONS 4. Input Gains - Controls the input sensitivity level for each channel. Use the input gain in conjunction with the LED meters (19) to properly set the levels of your input. 5 . I n p u t E q u a l i z e r s - I n d i v i d u a l c o n t r o l s f o r h i g h f r e q u e n c y, mid-range, and low frequency equalization with 9db of boost and 25dB of kill. Note: Any changes made to EQ settings will change the overall output level of that input. 6.
MIXER FUNCTIONS 17. Power Indicator - Blue LED indicates when power has been switched on. 18. Line Fader - The linefader controls the level of each channel to the master outputs. 19. Level Meter - LED meter indicates level of each channel. The left LED meter is for channel 1. The right LED meter is for channel 2. Use the Input Gain (4) to adjust the signal to 0dB (yellow LED).
F R O N T PA N E L 25. Crossfader Curve - Controls the taper (fade) shape of the crossfader (23). The crossfader curve control continually adjusts the curve from a sharp cut to a long fade. 26. R O TAT I N G T H E T R A N S F O R M S W I T C H E S The input selector (transform) switches on the Stanton SA.3 m i x e r c a n b e r o t a t e d t o 8 d i ff e r e n t p o s i t i o n s . F o l l o w t h e s t e p s below to rotate the transform switch to the position you like. 1 . M a k e s u r e t h e m i x e r i s p o w e r e d o ff . R e m o v e t h e f a c e p l a t e o f t h e m i x e r. 2. Remove the two outer screws from the transform switch as indicated in diagram.
