8.8.2 Starting the Dual Watch
1. Adjust the SQL knob until the background noise disappears.
2. Select the channel you wish to dual watch to the priority channel.
3. Press one of the soft keys, then press the
DW
soft key (it may be necessary to press the
◄ /
►
key to locate the
DW
soft key).
“
DW-##
” (## indicates the priority channel
number you have selected) appears on the
LCD. The radio will scan between the priority
channel and the channel that was selected in
step 2.
If a transmission is received on the channel
selected in step 2, the GX1300 will dual watch
to the priority channel.

4. To stop dual watch, press one of the soft keys, then press the
DW
soft
key again.
When selecting “
TRIPLE
” in the SETUP menu,
TW
will be displayed as the
soft key instead of
DW
.
NOTE
The priority channel may be changed from CH16 to another channel.
Refer to section “8.6.4 Priority Channel Setting”.
