12.9.2 Transmitting a DSC Position Report Call
Pre-Programmable Calling
1. Press the key. The “DSC MENU” will ap-
pear in the display.
2. Press the / keys to select the “POS
REPORT”.
3. Press the key, then press the / keys to
select the category (“ROUTINE” or “SAFETY”)
for the Position Report Call.
4. Press the key to show the Position Re-
quest Directory. This directory uses the In-
dividual Directory information.
5. Press the / keys to select a “Indi-
vidual” you want to send your position to,
then press the key.
6. Press the key again to send your posi-
tion to the selected vessel.
7. Press the key to return the display to
the radio operation mode display.
Manual Calling
You may enter an MMSI number manually to call without Setting up the Indi-
vidual / Position Call Directory.
1. Press the key. The “DSC MENU” will ap-
pear in the display.
2. Press the / keys to select the “POS
REPORT”.
3. Press the key, then press the /
keys to select the category (“ROUTINE” or
“SAFETY”) for the Position Report Call.
4. Press key to show the Position Send
directory.
5. Press the / keys to select
“MANUAL”, then press the key.
6. Enter the MMSI number (nine digits) which you
want to contact.
