11.8 GEOGRAPHIC CALL

The GX1000S can receive the Geographic Calls from another station.

1. When the Geographic Call is received, a ringing sound

will be produced and the display will scroll to show the

time the call was received and also “

GEOGRAPHICGEOGRAPHIC

GEOGRAPHIC” indi-

cation.

2. Press any key to stop the alarm.

3. Press the

]

key repeatedly to change the display to “Nature of Geo-

graphic Call” and “MMSI” (or name) of the station transmitting the Geo-

graphic Call.

4. Press the PTT on the mic and talk to the calling station.
