4. Then use jog wheel # 2 to select the device number from 001-170 and press
the number buttons [1 – 20] to select the desired address. All LEDs blink three
times to conrm, and the address of the respective device is displayed. This
means that the corresponding address has been transferred to the device.
Proceed accordingly using jog wheel # 4.
5. Repeat steps 3–4 to enter the addresses of other devices.
6. Press the [ESC / CLEAR] button to return to the previous menu level.
6.1.11 Reading from a USB drive
If you have stored programme les (*. PRO) or bank les (*. CIF) in the directory
DIR2420 of a USB drive, you can read the les with this function. Loaded proles
(bank les) must be assigned before they can be used (

ture’ on page 19). Whenever the USB drive is being read, do not remove it. Otherwise,
the les or the drive will be damaged. The USB drive must be formatted with the FAT
le system. If it is formatted dierently, you need to reformat it by a computer.
1. Call up the main menu.
2. Turn jog wheel # 1 until ‘11. Read U disk’ is displayed. Press the
[ENTER / MAIN MENU] button to activate this function.
3. Turn jog wheel # 1 to read a program le ( ‘01. Load program le’ ) or a collection
of proles ( ‘02. Load a xture library’ ). Press the [ENTER / MAIN MENU] button to
activate this function.
4. The available program or prole les are displayed. Turn jog wheel # 1 to select
the desired le name.
5. Press the [ENTER / MAIN MENU] button to conrm.
6. Rotate jog wheel # 2 to select ‘[Yes]’ (load) or ‘[No]’ (don't load). Press the
[ENTER / MAIN MENU] button to conrm.
7. Repeat steps 3-6 to read further les.
