Mounting the transmitter unit using adhesive tape
Pull out the insulating strip at the back side of the transmitter unit.
Paste the supplied double-sided adhesive tape on the back side of the transmitter unit and attach
it at the provided mounting position.
Afterwards, attach the magnet by means of the adhesive tape and take care of the alignment
(parallel) and distance (max. 10 mm) from the transmitter unit.
Mounting the transmitter unit using the screws
Pull out the insulating strip at the back side of the transmitter unit.
Push the mounting plate downwards and use it as drilling jig. Drill the mounting holes and screw
on the mounting plate. Place the transmitter unit on the mounting plate and carefully pull it
downwards.
Afterwards, attach the magnet by means of the adhesive tape and take care of the alignment
(parallel) and distance (max. 10 mm) from the transmitter unit.
Installation of the motion detector
Consider the following when selecting the mounting
position of the motion detector:
The motion detector has an area of coverage of 110°
and a maximum range of 12 m. Furthermore, the area
of coverage depends on the mounting height of the sensor
(recommended height approx. 2 m, refer to drawing) as
well as on the alignment of the lens opening. Horizontal
motions through the area of coverage (passing by the
detector) are easier detected than objects/persons moving
directly towards the sensor.
When mounting the motion detector in the open, select
a weather-proofed outdoor area. Direct sunlight, strong
vibrations as well as dust, humidity and extreme temperatures are to be avoided. This may result
in false alarms or functional impairment. Consider that an alarm can also be activated by objects
moving in the wind (e.g. awnings, branches) or wild/domestic animals!
Mounting the motion detector
Use the support as drilling jig. Drill the two mounting holes and fix the support using
screws which are suitable for the respective base material.
Slide the radio motion detector on the support (refer to drawing) and align it carefully.
Switch the motion detector on (ON/OFF switch to ON).
Note: The LED lights up red/yellow for approx. 3 sec., afterwards the yellow LED
power indicator lights up.
Functional control
After having installed the base station and having mounted the sensors, perform a functional control.
Use the remote control (button
) to activate the alarm system.
Note: The arming delay is activated ex works, i.e. the alarm system is not immediately activated,
but only after 10 sec. During this time, a beep sounds repeatedly!
Open now the door/window with the mounted door/window contact: The siren should sound now.
Switch off the alarm (remote control key
) and close the door/window.
Now, trigger the motion detector: The siren should sound.
Switch off the alarm (remote control key
).
