Confirm by pressing the key: A double beep tone sounds and the
VOX symbol is no longer displayed.
VOX sensitivity
Five sensitivity levels are available (1 = lowest, 5 = highest sensitivity
level).
Press the MENU key 4 x: LE is displayed, the actual level and the
VOX symbol are flashing.
Use the CH
s/t key to select the requested sensitivity level.
Confirm by pressing the

Automatic scan
The automatic scan permits to find active channels quickly. It scans
independently all of the 8 channels and stops as soon as a signal
exceeds the squelch threshold. It will start anew, if no signal is available.
You can also restart scanning by pressing the CH
s/t key.
Apart from the channel scan the radio set has one more scan function:
Scanning for CTCSS pilot tones.
The CTCSS pilot tones scan permits to check if codes are used on
the selected channel. If a signal is found the scan stops for approx.
5 sec. Meanwhile pressing the PTT key allows to contact the partner
station - the code is automatically transmitted.
Activating/deactivating the channel scan
Press the MENU key 5 x: the adjusted channel number and the scan
symbol are flashing.
Use the CH
s/t key for starting the scan. You may change the direction
of the scanning by means of the CH
s/t key.
To deactivate scanning, press the key: the scan symbol is no
longer displayed.
Note: As long as the automatic scan function is active the VOX function
cannot be used.
