Activating/deactivating the pilot tone process CTCSS
Press the MENU key 1 x: The pilot tone number flashes on the display.
Use the CH
s/t key to select a pilot tone number.
Confirm by pressing the key: A double beep tone sounds.
For deactivating press again the MENU key: The pilot tone number
flashes.
Use the CH
s/t key to select 00.
Confirm by pressing the
key: A double beep tone sounds.
Switching the transmitting power (high/low)
If the distance and constructional conditions permit, the energy con-
sumption of the devices can be reduced by decreasing the transmitting
power.
Press the MENU key twice: HI respectively LO is blinking on the display.
Select the requested transmitting power by means of the CH
s/t key.
Confirm by pressing the
key: A double beep tone sounds.
Note: LO is indicated on the display if transmitting power low is selected.
VOX function (phonetic transmission)
This function permits to send without activating the transmit key:
Voices/noises that hit the microphone thus switch on the transmitter
of the radio set.
Adjust the sensitivity according to the environmental noises, so that
the set switches from reception to transmission if your voice volume
is appropriate. You can select between 5 sensitivity levels (level 5 =
highest sensitivity).
Activating/deactivating VOX
Press the MENU key 3 x: OFF and the VOX symbol are flashing.
Use the CH s/t key to select ON.
Confirm by pressing the
key: A double beep tone sounds and the
VOX symbol is displayed.
For deactivating press again the MENU 3 x: OFF flashes.
Use the
s/t keys to select OFF.
