Provisions for the operation
The Li-ion battery pack is not pre-charged: Thus prior to using the
device for the first time, the battery pack must be fully charged
(charging time amounts to approx. 5.5 h).
Note: The maximum capacity will be achieved after approximately
three charging/discharging cycles.
Safety instructions for charger and battery pack
The charger should be used only at temperatures between 0° and
40°C (charging outside the recommended temperature range may
result in battery packs which are not fully charged).
Do not use the charger as power supply for the radio set.
Never disassemble the charger.
Make sure that the radio set is switched off during charging.
Disconnect the charger from the mains when not in use.
Never short-out the contacts of the battery pack (explosion hazard!).
Never throw the battery pack into the fire; it could explode due to
gas formation!
Charging the battery pack
Plug the power supply unit into a
230 V socket and connect it to the
charger, the orange charging LED
lights up.
Place the battery pack (or the
switched-off radio set with battery
pack) into the charging slot.
The red charging LED is now
permanently illuminated, charging
starts.
If the green charging LED lights
up, the battery pack is fully char-
ged.
