1. Insert the end of the wire into the terminal on the
fifth jaw assembly and crimp the terminal with a
crimping tool.
2. Mount the fifth jaw assembly in the required 3, 6, or
9 o’clock position with the Type BF thread cutting
screw provided in the kit (Figure 2), or if a stud is in
the center of the meter socket, use the nut provided
in the kit (Figure 3). Torque the mounting screw to
12 lb-in (1.4 N•m) or the nut to 25 lb-in (2.8 N•m).
3. Remove the nut from the stud in the neutral bus bar.
4. Connect the No. 12 copper wire to the neutral bus
bar by installing the wire terminal to the stud.
5. Repeat steps 1, 2, and 4. Install all other wires from
the other meter sockets in the panelboard to the
stud.
6. After all wire terminals are installed to the stud,
reinstall the nut and torque to 35 lb-in (4 N•m).

herramienta opresora.
2. Monte el ensamble de la quinta mordaza en la posición de reloj 3,
6 ó 9 requerida con el tornillo cortador de roscas tipo BF incluido
con el accesorio (fig. 2); o si existe un perno en la parte
intermedia de la base de medición, utilice la tuerca incluida con el
accesorio (fig. 3). Apriete el tornillo de montaje a 1,4 N•m
(12 lbs-pulg) o la tuerca a 2,8 N•m (25 lbs-pulg).
3. Retire la tuerca del perno en la barra de distribución del neutro.
4. Conecte el conductor de cobre calibre 3,31 mm
2
(12 AWG) a la
barra de distribución del neutro instalando la terminal del
conductor en el perno.
5. Repita los pasos 1, 2 y 4. Instale los demás conductores de las
demás bases de medición, ubicadas en el tablero, en el perno.
6. Después de instalar todas las terminales de los conductores en el
perno, vuelva a instalar la tuerca y apriétela a 4 N•m (35 lbs-pulg).

1. Insert the end of the wire into the terminal on the

3. If a terminal bar is not already installed, install the
terminal bar (provided) to the neutral bus bar in the
mounting hole located adjacent to the bus mounting
screw using the 8–32 x 3/4 in. cross recess, self-
tapping screw provided. Torque the mounting screw
to 25 lb-in (2.8 N•m).

2. Monte el ensamble de la quinta mordaza en la posición de reloj 3,

3. Si no está instalada una barra de terminales, instale ésta
(incluida) en la barra de distribución del neutro en el agujero
ubicado junto al tornillo de montaje de la barra, utilizando el
tornillo autorroscante de cabeza ranurada en cruz de 8–32 x 3/4
(incluido). Apriete el tornillo de montaje a 2,8 N•m (25 lbs-pulg).
4. Remove the crimp terminal provided on the end of
the No. 12 copper wire and strip insulation back
0.5 in. (13 mm).
5. Install the wire into the terminal bar. Torque the wire
binding screw to 20 lb-in (2.3 N•m).
4. Retire la terminal con pliegue provista ubicada en el extremo del
conductor de cobre calibre 3,31 mm

(12 AWG) y quite 13 mm
(0,5 pulg) de aislamiento.
5. Instale el conductor en la barra de terminales. Apriete el tornillo
de sujeción del cable a 2,3 N•m (20 lbs-pulg).
