To Recode Values of a Variable into a N ew Variable

Select the variables you want to recode. If you select multiple variables, they must

me type (numeric or string).

Optionally, you can define a subset of cases to recode. The If Cases dialog box for
doing this is the same as the one described for Count Occurrences.
