Mixing & Monitoring
Der MixDream erlaubt sowohl die zentrale Integration
von analogem Equipment in digitale Produktionsum-
gebungen als auch die Stereo-Summierung der Audio-
spuren auf analoger Ebene. Dabei werden alle Kanal-
parameter weiterhin im Rechner eingestellt – der Kom-
fort der Automationen bleibt also vollständig erhalten.
Ein MixDream kann 16 Audiospuren summieren, wobei
die Kanalzahl durch weitere Einheiten (MixDream oder
MixDream XP) beliebig erweiterbar ist.
Neu entwickelte Schaltungen in diskreter Class-A-
Technik bei 60-Volt-Betrieb (+/-30 V) gewährleisten
sehr hohe Anstiegsgeschwindigkeiten, ein niedriges
Rauschniveau von -97 dBu (A-bewertet, 16 Kanäle
offen) und einen Dynamikumfang von über 124 dB.

The MixDream design plan provides for the integra-
tion of analog equipment in digital production envi-
ronments and stereo mixdown at the analog level.
This concept offers high-grade analog summing with-
out panorama and fader controls, in turn allowing an
engineer to retain the entire scope of his computer
automation. One MixDream can sum up to 16 audio
tracks to a stereo signal, and several MixDream (or
MixDream XP) may be linked together to any desired
number of channels. The MixDream discrete class A
technology is based on a 60-volt rail (+/-30 V). Newly
developed circuitry guarantees an extremely high
slew rate, a low noise level of -97 dBu (A-weighted, all
channels active) and a dynamic level of over 124 dB.

Der Surround Monitor Controller 2489 erlaubt die
zentrale, analoge Lautstärkeregelung für system-
unabhängiges 5.1-Surround- und Stereo-Monitoring.
Insbesondere Anwender moderner Audio- oder Video-
produktionssysteme (Pro Tools®, Nuendo®, Logic®,
etc.) werden die Vorteile des SMC schätzen. Die Abhör-
lautstärke und Quellenverwaltung kann unabhängig
von der Software und dank hochwertiger Schalter,
optimierter Signalwege und analogem Sechs-Ebenen-
Lautstärkepotentiometer statt VCA- oder DAC-Reglern
ohne Qualitätsverlust vorgenommen werden.
The Surround Monitor Controller 2489 is a one-point
analog volume control and switching matrix for sys-
tem-independent 5.1 surround and stereo monitoring.
The advantages of the SMC become especially appar-
ent in combination with modern audio and video pro-
duction tools such as ProTools™, Nuendo™, Logic™
etc. Monitor levels and source management can be
handled independently of the software—thanks to
quality switches, optimized signal pathes and an
analog six-layer volume potentiometer instead of VCA/
DAC controls with virtually no loss in quality.
Der Monitor & Talkback Controller 2381 bietet die ana-
loge Lautstärkeregelung für das Stereo-Monitoring,
zusätzlich mit komfortablen Cue-Mix- und Talkback-
Funktionen: Der Cue-Mix kann latenzfrei aus Musiker-
und Mixsignal gemischt werden, der Talkback hat
einen zusätzlichen Ausgang sowie einen Anschluss
für Fußschalter. Der MTC kann bis zu sechs Eingangs-
quellen verwalten und gewährleistet ebenso wie der
SMC durch konsequent analogen Aufbau ohne VCAs
oder DACs eine unverfälschte Signalqualität.
The Monitor & Talkback Controller 2381 is a central
analog volume control for system independent stereo
monitoring including comfortable Cue Mixing and
Talkback options: The cue signal can be mixed indi-
vidually from the musician and mix signal, the Talk-
back function has an additional output as well as a
footswitch connector. The MTC can manage up to six
input sources and the same straight analog design
like for the SMC without VCAs and DACs ensures high-
est fi delity in stereo monitoring.

MixDream XP
Der MixDream XP ist ein reiner 16-in-2-Summierer ohne
Inserts und Processing-Funktionen. Er basiert auf den-
selben 60-Volt-Summierpfaden wie der MixDream und
ist auch ideal zur Erweiterung des MixDream geeignet.
The MixDream XP is a pure 16 in 2 summing device
without inserts and processing stages. It is based on
the same 60 V summing paths of the MixDream and
is also ideally suited to expand the MixDream.
