Rep from * around. 48 sts.
2nd and alt rnds: Knit.
3rd rnd: *K4. K2tog. Rep from *
around. 40 sts.
5th rnd: *K3. K2tog. Rep from *
around. 32 sts.
7th rnd: *K2. K2tog. Rep from *
around. 24 sts.
9th rnd: *K1. K2tog. Rep from *
around. 16 sts. Break yarn, leaving
a long end.
Thread end through rem sts. Draw
up rmly to close bottom and
fasten securely.
Twisted cord: Cut 8 strands of
A 65" [165 cm] long. With all
strands tog hold one end and with
someone holding the other end,
twist strands to the right until they
begin to curl. Fold both ends tog
and tie in a knot so they will not
unravel. Adjust length if desired.
Starting at center front, thread
twisted cord through last row of
(K2. P2) ribbing. Tie in a bow at
front of Bag.
