MATERIALS
Bernat® Pop!™ (5 oz/140 g; 280 yds/256 m)
Contrast A Scarlet Sizzle (84001) 1 ball
Contrast B Radical Botanical (84015) 1 ball
Size U.S. 8 (5.5 mm) circular knitting needles 16" [40.5 cm] long (for
gauge swatch) and 36" [91.5 cm] long or size needed to obtain
gauge. Stitch marker. 18" [45.5 cm] square pillow form.
MEASUREMENT
Approx 18" [45.5 cm] square.
GAUGE
17 sts and 20 rows = 4" [10 cm] in
Fair Isle Pattern.
INSTRUCTIONS
Note: When working fair isle
technique, stitch gauge will be
tighter than when working plain
stocking stitch. Please take the
time to measure your gauge
in fair isle while knitting in the
round to ensure proper nished
measurements.
When working in Fair Isle Pat, carry
color not in use loosely across WS
of work.
Fair Isle Pat gauge swatch:
With shorter circular needle and
A, cast on 68 sts. Place marker to
indicate beg of rnd.
1st to 4th rnds: *With A, K2. With
B, K2. Rep from * around.
5th to 8th rnds: *With B, K2. With
A, K2. Rep from * around.
Rep last 8 rnds twice more. Cast
o loosely.
Measure gauge and adjust
needle size if necessary
to achieve quoted gauge.
(Finished gauge swatch should
measure approx 16" [40.5 cm]
circumference by 5" [12.5 cm] tall).
PILLOW
With A, cast on 140 sts. Join in rnd
and place marker to indicate beg
of rnd.
1st to 4th nds: *With A, K2. With
B, K2. Rep from * around.
5th to 8th rnds: *With B, K2. With
A, K2. Rep from * around.
Rep these 8 rnds for pat until work
measures approx 18" [45.5 cm],
ending on 4th or 8th rnd of pat.
Break B. With A, cast o loosely.
FINISHING
Lay piece at and sew 1 end
closed. Insert pillow form and sew
rem end closed.
