7 sc and 8 rows = 4" [10 cm].
INSTRUCTIONS
Pillow Front
Note: Tr sts worked on WS will
push towards RS of work to form
bobbles.
Ch 36.
1st row: (RS). 1 sc in 2nd ch from
hook. 1 sc in each ch to end of
chain. Turn. 35 sc.
2nd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in next st.
*1 tr in next st. 1 sc in next st. Rep
from * to end of row. Turn.
3rd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each st to
end of row. Turn.
4th and 5th rows: Rep 2nd and
3rd rows.
6th row: As 2nd row.
7th to 17th rows: Ch 1. 1 sc in
each st to end of row. Turn.
Rep 2nd to 17th rows once more,
then rep 2nd to 7th rows once.
Fasten o.
Fringe Strips (make 2)
Ch 36.
1st row: 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook.
1 sc in each ch to end of chain.
Turn. 35 sc.
2nd row: Ch 1. *Sl st in next sc.
Draw up a loop 10” [25.5 cm] long.
Twist loop 25 times. Sl st in same
st, allowing twisted loop to coil
around itself. Rep from * to end of
row. Fasten o.
Pillow Back (make 2 pieces alike)
Ribbing: Ch 5.
1st row: 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook.
1 sc in each ch to end of chain.
Turn. 4 sc.
2nd row: Ch 1. Working in back
loops only, 1 sc in each sc to end
of row. Turn.
Rep last row until work from beg
(when slightly stretched) measures
20" [51 cm]. Do not fasten o.
Proceed as follows:
1st row: Turn work sideways. Ch 1.
Work 35 sc along side of ribbing.
Turn. Place marker at end of row.
2nd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc to
end of row. Turn.
Rep last row until work from
marker measures 11" [28 cm].
Fasten o.
