Connect
Pressthe “Connect”buttononthe MainMenutoconnecttoyour stimulatordevice.Onceconnected,you
can adjust stimulation settings. See the “Connecting to Your Stimulator Device” section below for
more
detail.
Magnet
A magnet is located under the magnet symbol on the back side of the Patient Programmer. Place the
magnetoverthestimulatordevicetocheckforconnectionbetweenthePatientProgrammerandstimulator
device.Seethe“ConnectingtoYourStimulatorDevice”sectionbelowformoredetail.
ConnectingtoYourStimulatorDevice
UseyourPatientProgrammertoconnecttoyourstimulatordevice.
• MakesurethatyourPatientProgrammer is turned ON and that the Main Menu displays. Your Patient
Programmermustbewithin6feetofyourstimulatordevice.
• Pressthe“Connect”button.ThePatient
Programmerwillbeginsearchingforthestimulatordevice.An
iconshowsonthescreentoindicatethatitisbusy.
• Position the magnet on the Patient Programmer over your stimulator device and move around in a
circularmotiontoinitiatecommunication.
The Patient Programmer chimes when it is connected
to your stimulator device. The Pain Control screen
displays.“Connected”sho w s inthestatusbaratthebottomleftofthescreen.IfyourPatientProgrammer
cannot connect to your stimulator device, an erro r message displays. “Disconnected” shows in the status
bar.
If your Patient Programmer cannot connect to your stimulator
device, go back to the Main Menu. Press
“Connect”again.Movethemagnetinacircularfashionoveryourstimulatordevice.Rep eatuntilthePatient
Programmerconnectstothestimulatordevice.
NOTE:If after 2 minutes your Patient Programmer cannot connect to the stimulator device, place the
PatientProgrammerover
thestimulatordeviceagain.Anerrormessagemaydisplay.Themessageasksyou
