SECTION IV: FIRST AID MEASURES
EYE CONTACT: Use eyewash, consult physician if accompanied by pain or irritation.
SKIN CONTACT: Wash with soap and water if irritation occurs
INHALATION: Remove to fresh air if irritation occurs
INGESTION: induce vomiting as directed by medical personnel
SECTION V: FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES
FLASH POINT: N/A
AUTO IGNITION: N/A
FLAMMABLE LIMITS: N/A
FIRE EXTINGUISHING MEDIA: Water Spray, Foam, CO2, Dry Chemical
SPECIAL FIRE FIGHTING PROCEDURES: Evacuate all non-emergency personnel to a safe location. Use self-
contained breathing apparatus. Avoid breathing smoke, fumes or
decomposition products. Use water spray to drench smoldering
elastomer. Product may melt after ignition to form flammable liquids.
Burning produces intense heat, dense smoke and toxic gases such as
carbon monoxide, oxides of nitrogen and traces of hydrogen cyanide.
SECTION VI: ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
If material is released: pick up and handle as any other inert solid material
Waste Disposal: Not considered a hazardous waste
SECTION VII: HANDLING AND STORAGE
Always decontaminate after use. When not in use, store with plastic film applied for long life. Keep out of
direct sunlight.
Store in dry area. Do not store near open flame, high heat, strong oxidants, or halogenated hydrocarbons.
Polyurethane, when heated, becomes very sticky and will burn. Use self-contained air masks to enter smoky
area in the event of fire. Adequate ventilation is required to remove decomposition products when
temperature exceeds melting point. Avoid contact with melted product.
SECTION VIII: EXPOSURE CONTROLS/ PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT
RESPIRATORY PROTECTION: None Required
VENTILATION: None Required
PROTECTIVE GLOVES: None Required
EYE PROTECTION: Safety glasses with side shields are recommended as a good
practice for industrial safety.
