Binding is the process of teaching the receiver the specific code of the transmitter so it will only connect to that specific transmitter.

EN MENU Click the scroll wheel from the main screen to access the FUNCTION LIST. The FUNCTION LIST contains all the available menus on the DX5 Rugged. EN MENU TRAVEL The Servo Setup menu contains the following functions: Travel sets the overall travel or endpoints of the servo arm movement. Travel values range from 0–150% (Default is 100%). To adjust Travel values: 1. Slide to the channel you wish to adjust and press OK. 2. Slide Up or Down to adjust the travel value. Press OK to save the selection. SUB-TRIM Subtrim offsets the entire range of servo travel including the center and endpoint positions.
EN MENU Rates allow the driver to reduce the travel (0-100%) of the Steering, Throttle, or Braking with a trimmer button. The Override option allows drivers to select a different rate value (0-125%) while holding down the assigned trimmer button. This is especially helpful for oval racers that program minimal steering throw to desensitize steering during racing, but requires maximum steering angle to drive out of a crash or get turned around on the track. EN MENU BIND/FRAME MENU For compatibility with all types of servos, three frame rates are available: • 11ms: Offers good response rates and is compatible with most digital and analog servos (this is the default position). Works with DSMR® surface receivers. • 16.5ms: Needed for older analog servos. Works with DSM2® surface receivers. • 22ms: Needed for older analog servos. Works with DSMR receivers. TIP: You should always use the fastest response rate the servos can handle.
EN MENU MIXING Mixes can connect two servo outputs to one control input. The DX5 Rugged features preset steering mixes and one programmable mix (Mix 0). The AUX channels can only be assigned to one mix at a time. If AUX 1, 2, or 3 is assigned to another mix, it will not be available as a slave channel option. AUX channels 1 and 2 are not available for use in mixes when the AVC menu in the transmitter is active. STEERING MIX The pre-configured Steering Mix options are for vehicles using two steering servos.
EN MENU AVC PROGRAMMING MENU The DX5 Rugged includes a menu specific to AVC operation. This menu manages AUX 1 and AUX 2 operation and tailors it for AVC® technolgy use. The AVC menu also controls the Priority features. See page 18 for more information on AVC tuning To activate the AVC menu: 1. Select AVC in the main menu 2. Select Switch and use the slide button to select On to enable the AVC menu. 3. Change the gain and priority values to suit the vehicle. 4.
EN MENU TELEMETRY The telemetry screen allows for easy access to all telemetry sensors and settings. To edit telemetry sensors: 1. Select the sensor from the list. 2. Press OK to open that sensors settings. 3. Adjust sensor parameters. 4. Press OK to save the selection. Settings: Chose how telemetry is displayed on the transmitter. File Settings: • Displays File name of saved telemetry files. • Inhibit, activate telemetry file saving.
EN MENU SETTINGS System settings allow adjustments to the following transmitter settings: • Display • Sounds • Calibrate • Trims • Battery • About Display User Name The User Name field displays the user name above the model name on the main screen. 1. Slide to the desired letter position and click the scroll wheel once. A flashing box appears. 2. Slide Up or Down until the desired character appears. Press OK once to save the character. 3. Slide to the next desired letter position.
EN MENU SETTINGS (CONTINUED) CALIBRATE Use this menu to calibrate controls. After making physical changes to the transmitter, such as changing the wheel, calibrate the transmitter. 1. Move the Steering Wheel, Throttle/Brake and the knob from stop to stop. 2. Save when finished or cancel to go back. TOUCH SETTINGS 5 different touch setting profiles are available to suit the driver.
EN UTILITIES MODEL UTILITIES (CONTINUED) Create New Model 1. Select the CREATE NEW MODEL and click the scroll wheel. 2. Select CREATE to create a new model or CANCEL to go back. 3. The new model is available in the model select list. CAUTION: NEVER change the model in Model Select while operating a model. Changing the model memory interrupts the transmitter signal to the receiver and may cause loss of vehicle control, damage or personal injury.
EN PHYSICAL TRANSMITTER ADJUSTMENTS STEERING TENSION ADJUSTMENT Turn the screw clockwise with a small Phillips screw driver to increase the steering tension. STANDARD WHEEL CONVERSION • Using a 1.5mm hex wrench, remove the steering wheel. • Re-install the steering wheel. ACCESSORY DOOR DATA PORT Remove the back door on the DX5 Rugged for access to the Data port and tool holder. The tool holder (B) is designed to hold common 4 way wrenches. The data port (A) gives drivers access to future updates.
EN AVC TUNING (AVC RECEIVER NOT INCLUDED) A value from 0 to 100 is used for three settings that affect tuning; steering gain, throttle gain, and priority. These values configure the receiver to your vehicle so you can tune it for optimal performance based on your driving style. It is normal for gain and priority tuning results to vary. WHAT IS GAIN? A gain value of 0 will result in zero electronic corrections, and a gain of 100 will result in large corrections in an effort to hold a straight line.

DE MENÜ MENÜ BINDEN/BILDFREQUENZ Für die Kompatibilität mit allen Servotypen stehen drei Bildfrequenzen zur Verfügung: • 11 ms: Bietet gute Reaktionsgeschwindigkeiten und ist mit den meisten digitalen und analogen Servos kompatibel (dies ist die Standardposition). Funktioniert mit DSMR®-Oberflächenempfängern. • 16,5 ms: Für ältere Analog-Servos benötigt. Funktioniert mit DSM2®-Oberflächenempfängern. • 22 ms: Für ältere Analog-Servos benötigt. Funktioniert mit DSMR-Empfängern.
DE MENÜ KOMBINATIONEN Kombinationen können zwei Servoausgaben zu einer Steuereingabe verbinden. Die DX5C-Funktionen stellen Steuerkombinationen und eine programmierbare Kombination (Mix 0) vorab ein. Die AUX-Kanäle können nur jeweils einer Kombination zugeordnet werden. Ist AUX1, 2 oder 3 einer anderen Kombination zugewiesen, so steht der Kanal als Slave-Kanaloption nicht zur Verfügung. Die Kanäle AUX 1 und 2 stehen zur Verwendung in Kombinationen nicht zur Verfügung, wenn das AVC-Menü im Sender aktiv ist.
DE MENÜ PROGRAMMIERBARE KOMBINATION Mit einer frei zuweisbaren Kombination können Fahrer einen zweiten (Slave-)Kanal einrichten, der einem Haupt-(Master-)Kanal folgt. 1. Wählen Mix O und klicken das Scrollrad. Wählen Sie im „Mixing“-(Kombinationen-)Menü „Mix O“, um die Kombination umzubenennen. 2. Wählen Sie zur Aktivierung einen Master- und Slave-Kanal und weisen Sie die Rate zu. • Wählen Sie „Inhibit“ (Blockieren) unter Master und scrollen Sie, um den Master-(Eingabe-)Kanal zu wählen.
DE MENÜ AUX ZUWEISEN Mit „Channel Assign“ (Kanal zuweisen) kann ein Schalter oder Trimmer als Eingang für einen AUX-Kanal zugewiesen werden. Kanal zuweisen: 1. Wählen Sie einen Kanal zum Bearbeiten. Faites défiler vers le haut ou le bas pour ajuster la valeur de Rate (régime). Cliquez sur la molette pour enregistrer la sélection.
FR MENU MENU BIND/FRAME (AFFECTATION/FRÉQUENCE) Pour une compatibilité avec tous les types de servos, trois fréquences de trame sont disponibles : • 11 ms : Offre de bons taux de réponse et est compatible avec la plupart des servos numériques et analogiques (c’est la position par défaut). Fonctionne avec les récepteurs de surface DSMR®. • 16,5 ms : Requis pour les servos analogiques plus anciens. FR MENU MIXING (MIXAGE) Les mixages peuvent connecter deux sorties de servos à une entrée de commande. Le DX5 Rugged comprend des mixages de direction préréglés et un mixage programmable (Mix 0). Les canaux AUX peuvent seulement être affectés à un mixage à la fois. Si AUX 1, 2, ou 3 est affecté à un autre mixage, il ne sera pas disponible en tant qu’option de canal esclave. Après avoir apporté des modifications physiques à l’émetteur, comme un changement de volant, étalonnez l’émetteur. 1. Déplacez le volant, la manette des gaz/freins et le bouton d’une butée à l’autre. 2. Enregistrez une fois l’opération finie ou annulez pour revenir. FR AJUSTEMENTS PHYSIQUES DE L’ÉMETTEUR RÉGLAGE DE LA TENSION DE DIRECTION PASSAGE À UN VOLANT STANDARD Tournez la vis dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre avec un petit tournevis cruciforme pour augmenter la tension de direction. • Avec une clé à six pans de 1,5 mm, retirez le volant. • Réinstallez le volant. PORTE D’ACCESSOIRE PORT DE DONNÉES Retirez la porte arrière sur le DX5 Rugged pour accéder au port de données et au porte-outil.
FR AJUSTEMENT DE L’AVC Une valeur de 0 à 100 est utilisée pour trois réglages qui affectent l’ajustement ; le gain de direction, le gain des gaz, et la priorité. Ces valeurs configurent le récepteur à votre véhicule de manière à pouvoir l’ajustement pour une performance optimale selon votre style de pilotage. Il est normal que les résultats de l’ajustement du gain et de la priorité varient.

IT NAVIGAZIONE BACK • Far scorrere il dito dall’alto in basso o dal basso verso l’alto per spostare in alto o in basso una linea. • Far scorrere il dito verso l’alto e il basso e tenere il dito per scorrere. • Usare il pulsante Indietro per tornare alla schermata precedente (per esempio, per andare dalla Schermata mista all’Elenco delle funzioni). • Usare il pulsante Elimina per tornare a un valore selezionato su uno schermo all’impostazione predefinita.
IT MENU Premere la rotella di scorrimento nella schermata principale per accedere alla FUNCTION LIST (LISTA FUNZIONI). La FUNCTION LIST contiene tutti i menu disponibili sul DX5 Rugged.
IT MENU CORSA Il menu Servo Setup (Imposta servi) contiene le seguenti funzioni: La funzione Travel Adjust (Regolazione corsa) regola la corsa totale o i fine corsa relativi ai movimenti della squadretta del servo. I valori disponibili vanno da 0 a 150% (il default è 100%). Per regolare i valori della corsa: 1. Scorrere fino al canale che si desidera regolare e premere la rotella di scorrimento. 2. Scorrere su o giù per regolare il valore della corsa.
IT MENU TASSI MENU 1. Scorrere fino a Steering (Sterzo) e premere la rotella di scorrimento per scegliere tra Steering (Sterzo), Throttle (Motore) e Brake (Freno). 2. Scorrere su o giù per regolare il valore del Rate. Premere la rotella di scorrimento per salvare la selezione. Rates Steering Rate:100% Switch:On OTF Trim:E Inh Override Rate:100% Switch:Inh ≥ I tassi consentono al pilota di ridurre la corsa (0-100%) di sterzo, motore e freno con un pulsante trimmer.
IT MENU MENU BINDING/FRAME Per la compatibilità con tutti i tipi di servo, sono disponibili tre Frame Rate: • 11 ms: offre un buon tasso di risposta ed è compatibile con la maggior parte dei servi digitali e analogici (posizione di default). Funziona con i ricevitori di superficie DSMR®. • 16,5 ms: necessario con servi analogici più vecchi. Funziona con i ricevitori di superficie DSM2®. • 22 ms: necessario con servi analogici più vecchi. Funziona con i ricevitori DSMR.
IT MENU MISCELAZIONI I mixer posso collegare le uscite di due servocomandi a un ingresso di controllo. Il DX5 Rugged dispone di mixer di sterzo preimpostati e di un mixer programmabile (Mix 0). I canali AUX possono essere assegnati soltanto a un mixer alla volta. Se AUX 1, 2 o 3 sono stati assegnati a un altro mixer, non saranno disponibili come canali Slave. I canali AUX 1 e 2 non sono disponili per l’uso nei mixer quando il menu AVC nel trasmettitore è attivo.
IT MENU MENU PROGRAMMAZIONE AVC Il DX5 Rugged include un menu specifico per il funzionamento del sistema AVC. Questo menu gestisce le operazioni di AUX 1 e AUX 2 e le adatta per l’uso con il sistema AVC. Il menu AVC controlla anche le Priorità. Vedere pag. 78 per maggiori informazioni sulla regolazione di AVC. Per attivare il menu AVC: 1. Selezionare AVC nel menu principale 2. Selezionare Switch (Interruttore) e usare la rotella di scorrimento per selezionare ON e abilitare così il menu AVC. 3.
IT MENU TELEMETRIA La schermata della telemetria consente un facile accesso a tutti i sensori e le impostazioni telemetriche. Per modificare i sensori della telemetria: 1. Selezionare il sensore dall’elenco. 2. Spingere la rotella di selezione una volta per aprire le impostazioni dei sensori. 3. Regolare i parametri dei sensori. 4. Fare clic per scorrere quando per salvare la selezione. Impostazioni: Scegliere quale telemetria viene visualizzata sulla trasmittente.
IT MENU IMPOSTAZIONI Le impostazioni di sistema consentono di regolare le seguenti impostazioni del trasmettitore: • Schermo • Suoni • Calibrazione • Trim • Info • Batteria Schermo Nome utente Nel campo User Name (nome utente) della schermata principale viene mostrato il nome dell’utente, sopra al nome del modello. 1. Spostarsi nella posizione della lettera desiderata e premere una volta la rotella di scorrimento. Appare una casella lampeggiate. 2.
IT MENU IMPOSTAZIONI (CONTINUA) CALIBRAZIONE Usare questo menu per calibrare i comandi. Dopo aver effettuato delle modifiche fisiche al trasmettitore, come il cambio del volantino, calibrare il trasmettitore. 1. Muovere il volantino dello sterzo, il grilletto motore/freno e la manopola da un fondo corsa all’altro. 2. Al termine, salvare le modifiche o annullare per tornare indietro.
IT SERVIZI SERVIZI PER IL MODELLO (SEGUE) Crea nuovo modello 1. Selezionare CREATE NEW MODEL e premere la rotella di scorrimento. 2. Selezionare CREATE per creare un nuovo modello o CANCEL per tornare dietro. 3. Il nuovo modello è disponibile nell’elenco dei modelli selezionati. ATTENZIONE: NON cambiare mai il modello nel menu Model Select mentre è in uso. Il cambiamento interrompe il segnale della trasmittente al ricevitore e può causare la perdita del controllo del veicolo, danni o lesioni individuali.

PORTA DEGLI ACCESSORI PORTA DATI Rimuovere la porta posteriore sul DX5 Rugged per accedere alla porta Dati e al portautensili. Il portautensili (B) è concepito per tenere 4 chiavi comuni.
IT REGOLAZIONE AVC Un valore da 0 a 100 è utilizzato per tre impostazioni che influenzano la regolazione fine; sensibilità sterzo, sensibilità motore e priorità. Questi valori configurano il ricevitore del veicolo in modo da poterne ottimizzare le prestazioni in base al proprio stile di guida. È normale che la sintonizzazione di sensibilità e priorità varino.
