Transmitter Mode Conversion
You can change to transmitter modes 1, 2, 3 or 4. This conversion
requires both a programming and a mechanical change.
The conversion consists of the following steps:

Change the Throttle Ratchet
Adjust the Elevator Centering Screw
Move the Throttle Limit Screws
Programming Conversion
1. Access the System Settings menu from the Setup List
and select the desired Mode. If you are changing between
Modes2and4or1and3,youcanSTOPafterStep1.
2.ExittheSystemSettingsmenutosavetheselection.
Changing the Throttle Ratchet
3. Locate the Throttle Strap adjustment screws on both gimbals.
The ratchet set screw engages a serrated section on the
gimbal for a ratcheted throttle, while the tension set screw
engages a strap for smooth tension on the gimbal.
4. To engage the throttle ratchet turn the ratchet set screw
clockwise until the ratchet engages.
5.Todisengagethethrottleratchetturnthescrewcounter
clockwise until the gimbal moves freely.

Strap Adjustment section.
Adjusting the Gimbal Centering Screw
When changing between Modes 1 and 2, or between Modes 3
and 4, you must adjust the gimbal centering screw.
1.UseaPhillipsscrewdrivertotightenthegimbalcenteringscrew.
Tightening the screw will disengage the centering spring.
2.UsingaPhillipsscrewdriver,loosentheoppositegimbal
centering screw until the lever engages.
Throttle limiting screws
Throttle limiting is used on the throttle gimbal to limit the
maximumtravel.WhenchangingbetweenModes1and2,or
between Modes 3 and 4, you can limit the throttle gimbal.
1. To disengage the throttle limiting, turn both of the limit screws
one half turn and slide them both to the opposite side of the
track.
2. To engage the throttle limiting, turn both of the limit screws one
half turn and slide them both to the opposite side of the track.
Calibration
Poweronthetransmitter.Whenacalibrationscreenshows,
movethecontrolstickstoextremesandtocentersasdirectedto
correctly calibrate controls.
Move the gimbals in + sign movements lightly touching the end
points to properly calibrate the gimbals.

The DX20 has all the physical transmitter adjustments located
around the gimbal face of each gimbal. This arrangement allows
for quick and easy adjustments with out taking the back cover off
or removing any plugs to access adjustment screws or wedges.
