1.) Remove inner throttle cable from braided cable housing.

2.) Install Spectre bracket (P/N 2418 for standard

transmission or P/N 24283 for automatic transmission)

onto carburetor.

3.) Locate original cable in firewall or if necessary drill a 3/8"

hole in the firewall which will line up with the arm on the pedal.

4.) Measure the distance between the hole in the firewall and the Spectre mounting bracket. Add 2"

to measurement and mark braided cable housing for cutting. Slide chrome sleeve towards

threaded end of braided housing, clear of the area to be cut. Wrap location to be cut with

electrical or duct tape and cut housing with a fine tooth hacksaw. DO NOT CUT INNER CABLE

AT THIS TIME.

5.) Slide chrome sleeve back to the end and place housing end onto the braided cable housing. Snap

housing end into carburetor bracket. Install threaded end of housing into firewall

using included flat washers and tighten in place with included nut.

6.) Insert cable through the correct adapter (plastic adapter for OEM pedals or the aluminum

clevis for aftermarket pedals) and insert the cable throught the cable housing mounted to the

firewall.

7.) Install threaded stud into carburetor (if needed). Pull the cable to the threaded stud,

removing all slack. Using sharp diagonal cutters, cut the cable 1" from stud (see

diagram).

8.) Insert cable into adjustable end piece as far as possible and lock with Allen screw. Install end

piece on stud and secure with cotter pin. Remove all slack by adjusting the end piece

and/or bracket. Check for binding and full throttle operation before starting or

driving vehicle.

1.) Quite el cable interior del acelerador de su bastidor para el cable trenzado.

2.) Coloque el soporte Spectre (N/P 2418 para transmisión estándar o N/P 24283 para transmisión

automática) sobre el carburador.

3.) Localice el cable original en la pantalla protectora o, si es necesario, taladre una perforación de

0,95 cm (3/8”) en la pantalla alineándolo con el brazo del pedal.

4.) Mida la distancia entre la perforación en la pantalla y el soporte Spectre. Agregue 5 cm a esa

medida y marque el cable trenzado para posteriormente cortarlo. Deslice la manga cromada hacia

el extremo roscado del bastidor trenzado, librándolo del segmento que se cortará. Envuelva el

mismo segmento con cinta de aislar o de tubo y proceda a cortar el bastidor con un serrucho de

dientes finos. NO CORTE EL CABLE INTERIOR.

5.) Deslice la manga cromada al extremo; en seguida coloque el extremo del bastidor en el bastidor del

cable trenzado. Cierre de golpe el extremo del bastidor en el soporte del carburador. Coloque el

extremo roscado del bastidor a la pantalla usando las arandelas planas y ajústelo

con la tuerca incluida.

6.) Ensarte el cable por medio del adaptador correcto (adaptador de plástico para los pedales

originales de fábrica o, el adaptador de aluminio para los pedales de fabricación NO original) y

ensarta el cable por el bastidor montada en la pantalla.

7.) Si es requerido, instale el tachón rosca (cubierta de perno) al carburador. Jale el cable

hacia el tachón rosca tensando la cuerda. Con una cizalla filosa, separe el cable del

tachón a la distancia de 2,54 cm (ver diagrama)

8.) Mete el cable hasta donde sea posible hacia el extremo de la pieza ajustable y asegúrelo con una

llave Allen. Instale la pieza del extremo sobre el tachón y asegúrela con un pasador de

chaveta. Quite toda tensión floja al ajustar la pieza y /o soporte. Averigüe que el

funcionamiento de la aceleración total y parcial antes de conducir el vehículo.
