Cómo usar

El Herbicida para pasto y maleza

de Spectracide

está formulado para el tratamiento localizado de malezas y pastos

y viene premezclado y listo para usar. Úselo en los caminos de entrada de automóviles y senderos, o alrededor de

cercas, árboles, lechos de flores, arbustos y otras zonas en su jardín.

ANTES DE USAR:

1. Agite bien antes de cada uso.

2. Quite el sello de la tapa abre fácil y abra. Deseche el sello.

3. Retire el rociador de su ranura debajo del asa de la botella; quite y deseche la envoltura de plástico. Jale la punta

negra de la manguera para que el tubo se extienda por completo.

4. Oprima fuerte la punta negra de la manguera en la abertura de la tapa hasta que trabe.

5. Sostenga el rociador por debajo del nivel del envase y cárguelo mediante el bombeo del mecanismo disparador

varias veces hasta que salga el producto.

6. Ajuste la boquilla al nivel deseado.

DESPUÉS DE USAR:

7. Para guardar, gire la boquilla del rociador a la posición de cerrado.

8. NO desconecte la manguera.

9. Coloque el rociador nuevamente en su ranura. La manguera se puede meter en el asa del rociador.

CÓMO APLICAR

• Cubra completamente las hojas de la vegetación que tiene como objetivo. No rocíe en exceso.

• Las plantas que se rociaron empiezan a ponerse amarilla o marchitarse en un plazo de 24 horas y la eliminación

completa, incluyendo las raíces, tiene lugar en una a dos semanas.

• Proteja todas las plantas deseables con un trozo de plástico o cartón.

• Si las plantas deseables se rocían accidentalmente, lávelas inmediatamente con agua.

• No pode, corte, ni altere de ninguna otra manera la vegetación tratada durante por lo menos 7 días después de la

aplicación.

• No lo use en alimentos para animales ni en cultivos comestibles ni a su alrededor.

CUÁNDO APLICAR

• Para obtener mejores resultados, aplique el producto cuando el clima esté cálido y soleado (temperaturas

superiores a 60°F), cuando las malezas se encuentren en la etapa de desarrollo activo y no se pronostiquen lluvias

por 24 horas. La lluvia o el riego después de los 15 minutos de la aplicación no reduce la eficacia.

• Aplique cuando no haya viento para evitar el arrastre hacia plantas deseables.

No se recomienda para el tratamiento localizado de malezas en céspedes establecidos, ya que también los

matará.

CUÁNDO PLANTAR DE NUEVO

• Todas las flores, árboles y arbustos ornamentales se pueden plantar un día después de la aplicación.

RENOVACIÓN O REPOSICIÓN DEL CÉSPED

CONSEJOS PARA REPLANTAR

Instrucciones para RELLENAR

Rellene solamente con el Herbicida concentrado para pasto y maleza

de Spectracide

. Quite la tapa. Mida y mezcle

cuidadosamente 7 onz. líq. (14 cdas. soperas) en 1 galón de agua. Coloque la tapa de nuevo y ciérrela

herméticamente. Limpie cualquier resto de producto que se haya derramado.

ALMACENAMIENTO Y ELIMINACIÓN

Almacenamiento del pesticida: Gire la boquilla hasta la posición “OFF” (apagado) y guárdelo con el rociador por

encima del nivel de líquido en el envase para evitar derrames.

Eliminación del pesticida: Si está vacío: Envase no rellenable. No vuelva a usar ni rellenar este envase. Ofrézcalo para

reciclar, si existe esa opción. Si está parcialmente vacío: Llame a su servicio de eliminación de desechos más cercano

para obtener instrucciones de eliminación. Nunca tire el producto sin usar por ningún drenaje interno ni externo.

Lávese muy bien y póngase ropa limpia tan pronto como sea posible.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its

labeling. For outdoor residential use only.

Do not allow people or pets to touch treated plants until the sprays have

dried.

APPLICATION RESTRICTIONS

Do not apply this product in a way that will contact any person or pet, either directly

or through drift. Only persons applying this product may be in the area during

application.

HOW TO USE

Spectracide

Weed & Grass Killer

is pre-mixed and ready to use and is formulated

for “spot” treatment of weeds and grasses. Use it on driveways and walkways or

around fences, trees, flower beds, shrubs and other areas in your yard.

BEFORE USE:

1. Shake well before each use.

2. Peel sticker from flip-top cap and open cap. Discard sticker.

3. Remove sprayer from its slot beneath the bottle handle and remove and discard

plastic wrap. Pull black hose tip to completely extend tubing.

4. Firmly press black hose tip into opening in cap until it snaps into place.

5. Hold sprayer below the level of the container and prime by pumping trigger

several times until product is dispensed.

6. Adjust nozzle to desired setting.

AFTER USE:

7. To store, turn sprayer nozzle off.

8. DO NOT disconnect hose.

9. Return sprayer to its slot. Hose can be pushed back into sprayer handle.

HOW TO APPLY

• Completely wet the leaves of the target vegetation. Do not overspray.

• Sprayed plants begin yellowing and wilting in about 24 hours, with complete kill,

including the roots, in one to two weeks.

• Protect desirable plants with a piece of plastic or cardboard.

• If desirable plants are accidentally sprayed, wash plants with water immediately.

• Do not mow, cut or otherwise disturb treated vegetation, weeds or plants for at

least seven days following application.

• Do not use on or around edible feed or food crops.

WHEN TO APPLY

• For best results, apply during warm, sunny weather (above 60°F) when weeds are

actively growing and no rain is forecast for 24 hours. Rainfall or watering

15 minutes after application will not wash away effectiveness.

• To avoid drift to desirable plants, apply when the air is calm.

Not recommended for spot weed treatment in established lawns since lawn

grasses will also be killed.

WHEN TO REPLANT

•

All ornamental flowers, trees and shrubs may be planted one day after application.

LAWN RENOVATION/REPLACEMENT

• Determine size of area to be treated — measure length and width in feet, then

multiply to determine coverage area in square feet (length x width).

• Use Spectracide

Weed & Grass Killer

to kill the old lawn and existing weeds

and grasses.

• For best results, apply in spring or fall, when daytime temperatures are at least 60°F.

• Under dry conditions, water lawn every other day for a week before applying

Spectracide Weed & Grass Killer

• Do not mow for seven days before or after treatment.

• One gallon treats 300 sq ft.

TIPS FOR REPLANTING

• Wait seven days after last application to rake, till or replant with seed or sod.

• Rake up and remove loosened thatch or debris.

• Mix in starter fertilizer and soil amendments, if needed. Level the soil.

• Apply seed according to directions on seed package, or install sod. Grass seed

must have good contact with soil to germinate and grow.

• Keep area moist for two weeks to establish new lawn, then water as needed.

REFILL DIRECTIONS

Refill only with Spectracide

Weed & Grass Killer Concentrate

. Remove cap.

Carefully measure and mix 7 fl oz (14 Tbsp) in 1 gal of water. Replace and tightly

close cap. Wipe off any spilled product.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL

Pesticide Storage: Turn the nozzle to “OFF” position and store with sprayer above

the level of liquid in container to prevent leakage.

Pesticide Disposal: If empty:

Nonrefillable container. Do not reuse or refill this

container. Offer for recycling, if available

. If partly lled: Call your local solid

waste agency for disposal instructions. Never place unused product down any

indoor or outdoor drain.

• Clothing and protective equipment exposed to this product should be washed in

detergent and hot water. Such items should be kept and washed separately from

other laundry.

• Users should wash hands before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco or

using the toilet. Users should remove clothing immediately if pesticide gets inside.

Then wash thoroughly and put on clean clothing.

• Users should remove clothing and protective equipment immediately after handling

this product. As soon as possible, wash thoroughly and change into clean clothing.

Environmental Hazards

This pesticide is toxic to aquatic invertebrates. Do not apply directly to water. Do not

contaminate water when disposing of equipment washwaters.
