You can connect monitors, accessories, and other devices directly to your Ranger 7 data
collector using USB or Bluetooth and RS-232. Some custom accessories can connect to the
device through the proprietary docking connector.
Connecting to USB accessories
The Ranger 7 data collector has a USB port for connecting USB devices, such as a flash
drive, scanner, or printer. The Ranger 7 data collector has built-in support for mass
storage devices and human interface devices.
Other types of USB devices may require drivers.
To connect a USB device, plug the device cable into the USB A-type port on the bottom of
the Ranger 7 data collector.
Connecting to Bluetooth accessories
The Ranger 7 data collector has embedded Bluetooth wireless technology—a short-range
wireless communication technology that allows wireless data transfer and communication
between devices over a distance of up to 10 meters (30 feet).
