This section tells you how to get started using your Ranger 7 data collector and explains

some basic operating system features.

When you start your Ranger 7 data collector for the first time, the Microsoft Windows

operating system will take you through some basic set-up steps; follow the instructions on

the screen.

CAUTION – When you first set up the device, make sure you select English US (Eng

US) as the keypad language, independent of the keypad layout (ABCD or QWERTY) and

the language you use on the Ranger 7 data collector.
