3 Using the WLAN and Bluetooth radios
1. In the Apps screen, tap Settings.
2. Make sure WLAN is turned on. If it is not, move the WLAN slider to ON.

Tap at the top of the screen then tap Add network.
4. Enter the network SSID.
5. Select the type of security for the network. Enter the password and other security
details for the network.
6. Tap Save.
The handheld connects to the wireless network automatically when you are within range.
Forgetting a WLAN network
You can make the handheld forget about the details of a WLAN network that you saved—
for example, if you do not want the handheld to connect to it automatically or if it is a
network that you no longer use.
1. In the Apps screen, tap Settings.
2. Make sure WLAN is turned on. If it is not, move the WLAN slider to ON.
3. In the WLAN settings screen, tap the saved network you want the handheld to forget.
4. Tap FORGET.
Advanced WLAN settings
To access advanced WLAN settings, in the WLAN settings screen, tap at the top of the
screen and then tap Advanced. Advanced settings include:
l Network notification, to let you know when an open network is available.
l The WLAN sleep policy, to specify when the WLAN radio disconnects. If this is set to
Never, the WLAN radio uses more battery power.
l The MAC (Media Access Control) addressof the handheld when connecting to WLAN
networks.
l The IP address assigned to the handheld by the WLAN network you are connected to.
