Introduction
This user guide describes how to set up and use the MobileMapper 50 handheld. The
information in this guide supplements the information in the MobileMapper 50 Quick Start
Guide, which you received with the handheld.
There are two models of the MobileMapper 50 handheld—a WLAN-only model, and a 4G/
WLAN model. Both models:
l are powered by the Android™ 5.1 “Lollipop” mobile operating system
l have Wireless LAN technology
l have Bluetooth® wireless technology
l have a high-sensitivity GNSS receiver, supporting GPS, GPS plus GLONASS, or GPS plus
Beidou, with 1 to 2 meter positioning accuracy in real time (using SBAS)
l are rated IP67 (see Use and care of the handheld for more information)
