Accessories
The following standard accessories ship with the MobileMapper 50 handheld:
l Wrist strap
l Screen protectors x2
l AC adaptor
l USB cable
The following optional accessories are available to purchase:
l External magnetic GNSS antenna
l Range pole bracket
l Batteries and battery covers
Powering the handheld
The MobileMapper 50 handheld contains a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery.
Charge the battery completely before using the handheld for the first time.
NOTE – Cold temperatures, or using Bluetooth wireless technology, WLAN, or the cellular
modem consume additional battery power and so shortens battery life between charges.
Charging the battery
CAUTION – Safe temperature ranges are:
l Operating temperature range: -20 °C to +60 °C (-4 °F to +140 °F).
l Storage temperature range: -30 °C to +70 °C (-13 °F to +158 °F).
The device's USB cable has a specific connector which fits with the device's micro USB
connector. Most standard USB cables will not connect properly to the device. Make sure
you use the one provided with the device.
1. Connect the micro USBend of the USBpower cable to the micro USBpower socket on
the handheld.
2. Connect the USBend of the power cable to the AC adaptor.
3. Connect the adaptor to main power. An international adaptor kit is provided with the
handheld.
