PRODUCT NAME: SPEC MIX
Masonry Mortar
Product Description: Masonry Mortar is a dry,
factory blended mortar specifically designed for use
by masonry contractors. This product is produced
under strict quality control guidelines in
accordance with A.S.T.M. and U.B.C. standards.
Masonry Mortar provides a superior product to
jobsite mixing due to control of mix ratio and
quality of sand. It is available in several packaging
options to provide savings in handling and mixing.
Masonry Mortar is available in the following
standard mix designs as well as special orders for
individual job requirements.
Type S: (>1800 p.s.i.) cement, lime and sand
Type M: (>2500 p.s.i.) cement, lime and sand
Uses: Masonry Mortar is used in the application
of block, brick and stone or wherever a high
quality mortar is required.
Colors: Masonry Mortar is also available in pre-
blended colors. Special orders available.

Packaging: Available in 60 lb. and 94 lb. paper
bags, 3000 lb. bulk bags and bulk. Information on

Technical Data: Masonry Mortar meets the
specifications of U.B.C.21-15 and A.S.T.M.C-270.
It is approved by L.A. City (RR 24968), the State
of California Office of the State Architect and for
Cal Trans projects.
Application: Add Masonry Mortar to clean,
potable water and mix to desired consistency.
Recommended water is approximately 17-20% by
weight.
One 94 lb. bag should lay approximately (25) block or
(40) to (50) brick.
Limitations:
Do not apply when temperatures are below or
expected to fall below 40 F prior to cure.
Proper test methods and handling of test
cylinders are important for jobsite testing.
Do not add any admixtures without prior
consent from PMP.
Proper curing is required, extreme weather
conditions will affect cure and performance.

statements are based on our best knowledge. The
contents of this specification sheet are presented
for informational purposes only and do not
constitute responsibility for their use. The
manufacturer will replace only that material
which
is proven defective due to quality of the
components or the manufacturing process.
CAUTION: Prolonged exposure to dust may cause
delayed lung disease
. Eliminate exposure to dust. Use
NIOSH approved mask for silica dust. Freshly mixed
materials may cause skin irritation. Avoid direct
contact where possible and wash exposed skin areas
promptly. If any cementitious materials gets into the
eyes, rinse immediately and repeatedly with water and
get prompt medical attention. See Material Safety
Data Sheet.
