Versatile Repair Capability

Spears

Repair Couplings provide a variety of system repair and alteration solutions. Use Socket x Socket configurations for quick pipe

damage repair. Spigot x Socket configurations are excellent for lateral and riser add-ons, damaged fitting replacement, or for installing

valves in existing piping systems.

1. Squarely cut out damaged pipe section or replace damaged

fitting.

2. Loosen nut on coupling, slide shaft in.

3. Solvent cement body to pipe,

extend shaft and cement opposite

end. Allow an initial “set” prior to

tightening nut so as not to disturb

the

oint.

4. Using a commercial strap

wrench on both body and

nut, hold the body and

tighten nut (hand tight +1/8 to

1/4 turn

)
