•Adjustthedisplayformaximum
sharpness.
•Useleadingedges(closesttothe
transducer)orbordersforstartingand
stoppingpoints.
Maintainaconsistenttransducer
orientationforeachtypeofmeasurement.
•Makesurethattheareaofinterestfillsas
muchofthescreenaspossible.
•(2D)Minimizethe
depth,orzoom.

Youcanalsomeasureareaorcircumferenceby
tracingmanually.

atonetime.Thetotalnumberpossibledepends
ontheirorderandtype.
To measure distance (2D)
Youcanperformuptoeightdistance
measurementsona2Dimage.
1 Onafrozen2Dimage,pressthe
CALIPERkey.
Apairofcalipersappears,connectedbya
dottedline.
2 Usingthetouchpad,positionthefirstcaliper,
andthenpressthe
SELECTkey.
Theothercaliperbecomesactive.
3 Usingthetouchpad,positiontheothercaliper.
Ifyoumovethecalipersclosetogether,they
shrinkandthedottedlinedisappears.

To measure area or circumference (2D)
1 Onafrozen2Dimage,presstheCALIPERkey.
2 SelectEllipseonscreen.
Note: Ifyouexceedtheallowednumberof
measurements,Ellipseisnotavailable.
3 Usethetouchpadtoadjustthesizeand
positionoftheellipse.The
SELECTkeytoggles
betweenpositionandsize.
