When performing a burst write to the I
2
C interface, the module response depends on the setting of bits 1:0 of the
I
2
C Init Configuration Register controlling the address auto increment features and word mode. If none of these
modes are enabled, the data burst write is going to be directed to the same I
2
C address. In case of address auto
increment, the data is written sequentially to the location starting with initial the I
2
C address. In case both modes
are enabled, each 2-byte from the data burst stream is going to overwrite the 2-byte location pointed by the I
2
C
address.
