Batteries
The analyzer contains two lead-acid batteries used to provide short-term
operation during a power failure. The analyzer retains the operating configuration
for up to 5-minutes during an AC power interruption. The batteries should be
replaced every year.
CO
2
Scrubber
The analyzer contains an internal CO
2
scrubber which must be replaced every
year.
Refer to the 90518 Multigas Analyzer Service Manual (P/N 070-0643-xx) for
details on replacing the CO
2
scrubber, cleaning and sterilization procedures.
Ultrasound Transducers
Basic cleaning should be performed regularly to ensure continued reliability.
1. Keep accessories clean.
2. Wipe transducers with a soft cloth moistened with a germicidal solution after
each use.
3. Wipe off any ultrasound gel on the ultrasound transducers or the monitor as
soon as possible.

All batteries should be disposed of properly to
protect the environment. Lithium batteries
should be fully discharged before disposal.
Batteries such as lead-acid (Pb) and nickel-
cadmium (Ni-Cd) must be recycled. Please
follow your internal procedures and/or local
(provincial) laws regarding disposal or recycling.
