Troubleshooting
Symptom Remedy
General
Sound cannot be heard. Adjust the volume to the optimum level.
Check the cords and connections.
“PARKING is not enabled. No
video while driving.” appears
and no playback picture is
shown.
Parking brake is not engaged.
The unit does not work at all.
Reset the unit.

The remote control does not work.
Replace the battery.
Playback source cannot be
selected.
The source is not ready. Insert a disc or connect a device
beforehand.
Discs/USB device/files
• Recordable/Rewritable discs
cannot be played back.
Tracks on the Recordable
Rewritable discs cannot be
skipped.
Insert a finalized disc.
Finalize the discs with the component which you used
for recording.
“DVD Region Error” appears and
DVD-Video does not play.
Insert a disc with the correct Region Code.
Playback order is not as
intended.
The playback order is determined by the file name (USB) or
the order in which files were recorded (disc).
Elapsed playing time is not
correct.
The elapsed playing time depends on the recording process
used.
Playback does not start or the
track is skipped.
Check whether the track is a playable format.

Record the tracks using a compliant application on the
appropriate discs.
Add appropriate extension codes to the file name.
It takes a long time to read
the file.
Do not use too many hierarchical levels and folders.
Reload the disc or reattach the USB device.
Connected device cannot be
detected.
Check whether the connected device is compatible with
this unit and ensure the files are in supported formats.

Reattach the device.

Tuner
Radio reception is poor.
Static noise while listening to
the radio.
Connect the antenna firmly.
Pull the antenna out all the way.
iPod/iPhone*
The iPod/iPhone does not turn
on or does not work.
Check the connection between this unit and the iPod/
iPhone.
Check whether the control mode is appropriate.

Detach and reset the iPod/iPhone using hard reset.
Sound is distorted. Deactivate the equalizer either on this unit or the iPod/
iPhone.
Bluetooth*
Phone sound quality is poor. Reduce the distance between the unit and the Bluetooth
mobile phone.
Move the car to a place where you can get a better signal
reception.
The sound is interrupted or
skipped while using a Bluetooth
audio player.
Reduce the distance between the unit and the Bluetooth
audio player.
Turn off, then turn on the unit.
(When the sound is not yet restored) connect the player
again.
The connected audio player
cannot be controlled.
Check whether the connected audio player supports
AVRCP (Audio Video Remote Control Profile).
The Bluetooth device does not
detect the unit.
Search from the Bluetooth device again.
The unit does not pair with the
Bluetooth device.
Turn off, then turn on the Bluetooth device.
Disconnect the device currently connected.
