How to place the sensor
The sensor can be positioned on index, middle or ring finger. The choice of finger does not
affect accuracy of measurement; however thickness of the chosen finger must be related to
the size of the sensor. For comfort reasons, the cable is placed on the top of the finger as
shown below (➌).
➊ Gently squeeze the sides to open the sensor.
➋ Slide onto the finger to the end of the sensor with cable on top of hand. Place fingertip at –
but not pushed through – the end of sensor. Check that sensor gently hugs finger, and is not
too tight or too loose.
➌ Secure sensor to back of hand with medical tape to allow movement.
NOTE: Make sure you have the right size sensor for the finger which must be clean and dry.
Heavy lotions, sunscreen, dirt, oils and nail polish may alter accuracy of measurement or
secure placement.
