HOW TO CLOSE SPIDER SAS
To close Spider SAS clip the right side of the
back part into the orange plastic part then
apply a light pressure (black arrows) on the
left part with your thumb until the back cover
is locked (with a click) onto the orange plastic
part. Then lock the back side of the Spider
SAS (using a screwdriver or a coin).
ECG CABLE INSERTION AND EXTRACTION
The insertion (① then ➋) of the patient cable should be done as indicated in the picture.
① Take the ECG cable between your thumb and your index then pull the connector until the
bottom stop ➋.
➌ Gently press your thumb on the top of the connector until you hear a click.
④ To extract the ECG connector, use the upper lip. Gently press with the nail of your right
index toward the top to remove the cable.
NOTE: When not in use, Spider SAS can be stored without disconnecting the patient cable
and/or Physio Hub (φ Hub) from its connector.
BATTERIES

Open the recorder. Insert the AAA 1.5V battery in the battery compart-
ment by respecting the polarity as marked in the compartment (see left).
Alkaline or Lithium batteries
Spider SAS is powered by an alkaline or a lithium battery AAA of 1.5 V depending on the
duration required for the test. Maximum duration of recording is 48 hours.
A new alkaline battery ensures 1 day 2 channel ECG recording including an 8 hour nocturnal
ventilation polygraph.
