Quick Start Guide
Tablet Device SGPT11 Series
CONNECTIVITY
Did you skip this step in the setup wizard or have trouble connecting to a Wi-Fi
®
connection?
Try this...
Wi-Fi network connection
Couldn’t find your Wi-Fi network?
1 Check that your Wi-Fi router (wireless access point) is properly
connected to your modem (or other network communication
device) and verify that you have a working Internet connection.
You may need to refer to your router’s manual or your service
provider for assistance.
2 Turn on Wi-Fi.
Tap [Apps], [Settings], [Wireless & networks], [Wi-Fi]. A green
check mark appears.
3 Set up a wireless access point.
Tap [Wi-Fi settings], then select your home network name or
tap [Add Wi-Fi network] if it is not listed and enter the required
information.
Public Wi-Fi hotspot
Out in a public place and need to connect to Wi-Fi?
1 Check that you are in range of a Wi-Fi hotspot. Depending on your
location, you may need assistance from the administrator at your
location.
2 Verify that Wi-Fi is on.
Tap [Apps], [Settings], [Wireless & networks].
Wi-Fi is on if a green check mark appears next to the [Wi-Fi]
option. If there is no green check mark, tap [Wi-Fi] to turn it on.
3 Tap [Wi-Fi settings], then in the upper right corner of the touch
screen. Tap [Scan] and select a Wi-Fi hotspot from the list of
available networks.
Wi-Fi checker
If an issue with your Wi-Fi connection occurs, you can test your
connection with the Wi-Fi checker App.
Tap [Apps], [Wi-Fi checker] to start the App,
then tap [Test].
Slide lock to unlock.
