Operations
How to handle an iPod
To set an iPod
To remove an iPod
Notes

An iPod in a case or cover can be set in this unit.
However, if the case or cover interferes with the
connection, remove the case or cover before setting the
iPod on the Dock Connector.

When placing or removing the iPod, hold it at the same
angle as the Dock Connector on the unit. Do not pull the
iPod forward too far.

When placing or removing the iPod, hold the unit
securely.

Do not twist or bend the iPod, as this may result in
connector damage.

Remove the iPod when transporting it; otherwise, a
malfunction may result.

If the iPod does not reach the supporter on the front of
the unit, attach the supplied cushion below the supporter.
To turn the unit on/off
Press  (On/Standby).
The power indicator lights up when the unit is turned on.
Adjusting the volume
Press VOLUME +/− (VOL +/− on the remote).
Tip

The power indicator flashes three times in green when
the sound is set to either maximum or minimum volume.
Operating an iPod on the
Dock
1 Set the iPod on the Dock Connector.
The Dock Connector can be tilted slightly.
For details, see “How to handle an iPod.”
2 Press .
3 Press iPod to activate the function for iPod.
The iPod indicator lights up.
4 Press .
The iPod begins to play back.
If the iPod does not start playing back, operate directly
on the iPod.
You can operate the connected iPod via this unit or the
iPod itself.

Notes

If a pop-up message appears on the display of the iPod
touch, iPhone or iPad, see “About App.”

Some operations may differ or may not be available on
some models of iPod.

If the battery of the iPod is extremely low, charge it for a
while before operation.

Sony cannot accept responsibility in the event that data
recorded to an iPod is lost or damaged when using the
iPod connected to this unit.


To charge an iPod
You can use the unit as a battery charger for an iPod.
Charging begins when the iPod is connected to the unit.
The charging status appears in the display on the iPod. For
details, refer to the user’s guide of the iPod.
Operating by wireless music
streaming
By using the Bluetooth connection, you can listen to the
sound from an iPod or other Bluetooth device with the unit
wirelessly.
Pairing
What is pairing?
Bluetooth devices need to be “paired” with each other
beforehand.
Once Bluetooth devices are paired, there is no need for
pairing again, unless pairing information is deleted.

To pair with an iPod
Keep the iPod and the unit within 1 meter (3 ft) of each
other for this operation.
1 Press .
2 Press BLUETOOTH ( on the remote) to turn on
the Bluetooth function when the Bluetooth
indicator is off.
The Bluetooth indicator flashes slowly.
3 Press and hold BLUETOOTH ( on the remote).
When pairing starts, a double-beep sound will be heard
and the Bluetooth indicator will flash quickly.
Pairing mode of the unit is activated.
4 Perform the pairing procedure on the iPod to
detect the unit. Select “Settings

General

Bluetooth” and turn on the Bluetooth function.
The Bluetooth indicator lights up.
Example: iPhone 4S
A list of detected devices appears on the display.
The unit is displayed as “RDP-X200iP.”
If “RDP-X200iP” is not displayed, repeat from step 3.
5 Select “RDP-X200iP” on the display of the iPod
while the Bluetooth indicator flashes quickly.
When “Connected” appears on the display of the iPod,
pairing and connection are complete.
Example: iPhone 4S
Notes

The operation and display may differ depending on the
model of iPod and/or software version. For details, refer
to the user’s guide of the iPod.

Pairing mode is canceled after about 5 minutes. If pairing
mode is canceled halfway, start over from step 3.

If pairing is not complete, start over from step 3.

To pair with another iPod, repeat steps 1 to 5.

In step 3, if a double-beep sound is not heard or the
Bluetooth indicator does not flash quickly, press and hold
BLUETOOTH ( on the remote) again.

If you turn off the unit or the iPod before the Bluetooth
connection is complete, pairing information will not be
memorized, and pairing will not be completed.
Notes on pairing with a Bluetooth device other
than iPod

When pairing with a Bluetooth device other than iPod,
after step 3, pass code input may be required in your
Bluetooth device. In this case, input “0000.”

The operation and display may differ depending on the
Bluetooth device and/or software version. For details,
refer to the user’s guide of the Bluetooth device.
To listen to sound
Keep the iPod and the unit within 10 meters (about 30 ft) of
each other for this operation.
Check the following before operating the unit.

The Bluetooth function of the iPod is on.

Pairing of the unit and the iPod is complete. If pairing is
not completed, perform pairing again. (See “To pair with
an iPod.”)
1 Press .
2 Press BLUETOOTH ( on the remote) to turn on
the Bluetooth function.
The last connected iPod will be reconnected
automatically when the Bluetooth function is turned on.
3 Select your desired music, video, game, etc., to
play on the iPod. For details, refer to the user’s
guide of the iPod.
Tips

If the last connected iPod does not reconnect
automatically, press BLUETOOTH ( on the remote). If it
still does not reconnect, select the model name of this
unit from the iPod. (Perform steps 4 to 5 in “To pair with
an iPod.”)

To connect an alternative iPod, which has previously been
paired with this unit, press BLUETOOTH ( on the
remote) to disconnect the currently connected iPod. Then
select the model name of the unit from the alternative
iPod you want to connect.

You can charge the iPod on the dock while listening to
music via Bluetooth connection.

If the volume level is low, adjust the volume of the unit
first. If the volume is still too low, adjust the volume of the
Bluetooth device.
To finish listening
Terminate the Bluetooth connection by any of the following
operations.

Turn off the unit.

Turn off the iPod.

Press BLUETOOTH ( on the remote), iPod, or AUDIO
IN.

Operate the iPod to terminate the connection. For details,
refer to the user’s guide of the iPod.
To clear the list of models already-
paired and memorized in the unit
1 Press .
2 Press BLUETOOTH ( on the remote) to turn on
the Bluetooth function.
3 Press and hold BLUETOOTH and VOLUME − on
the unit at the same time.
The MEGA BASS indicator flashes.
Notes

You can perform step 3 to clear the list even during
Bluetooth connection.

This operation cannot be performed when the unit is
pairing.

To pair with this unit again, delete the model name of this
unit from the iPod and perform pairing again. (See “To
pair with an iPod.”)
Connecting optional
components
You can enjoy the sound from an optional component, such
as a portable digital music player, through the speakers of
this unit. Be sure to turn off the power of each component
before making any connections.
1 Firmly connect the line output jack of the portable
digital music player (or other component) to the
AUDIO IN jack on the back of the unit, using a
suitable audio connecting cable (not supplied).
2 Press  to turn on the unit.
3 Press AUDIO IN.
The Audio-in indicator lights up.
4 Turn the connected component on.
5 Play the connected component.
The sound from the connected component is output
from the speakers of this unit.
Notes

The necessary type of audio connecting cable depends on
the optional component. Be sure to use the correct type of
cable.

If the volume level is low, adjust the volume of the unit
first. If the volume is still too low, adjust the volume of the
connected component.
Other useful functions
Reinforcing the bass sound
Press MEGA BASS.
The MEGA BASS indicator lights up. To return to normal
sound, press the button again.
About App
A dedicated Dock App for iPod touch/iPhone/iPad available
at Apple App Store.
Search for “D-Sappli” and download the free App to find
out more about the functions.
Features

D-Sappli includes various timer functions: Alarm, Music
Play Timer and Sleep Timer.

You can set up to 10 alarms, using songs in iPod or Preset
Sound in D-Sappli for the alarm sound.
Music Play Timer allows you to play/pause desired music
at a desired time. Sleep Timer allows you to specify a time
at which to stop music playback. Alarm, Music Play
Timer and Sleep Timer work in combination with the
power supply of the unit.
Alarm, Music Play Timer and Sleep Timer are available
only when D-Sappli is activated.

D-Sappli also includes a clock display enlarge feature.
Notes

If the App to link with this unit is not downloaded to the
iPod touch/iPhone/iPad, a pop-up message prompting
you to download D-Sappli may appear repeatedly.
Deactivate the App’s link function to stop the pop-up
message.

To deactivate the App’s link function: Connect the AC
adaptor, and then press / to turn off the unit. Remove
the iPod touch/iPhone/iPad from the Dock Connector.
While holding down , also press and hold / on the
unit for at least 2 seconds. (The power indicator flashes
twice when deactivated.)

To re-activate the App’s link function, repeat the above
steps. (The power indicator flashes once when activated.)

Remarques

Il est possible d’insérer un iPod avec un boîtier ou un étui
dans cet appareil. Toutefois, si le boîtier ou l’étui
compromet le raccordement, retirez le boîtier ou l’étui de
votre iPod avant de l’insérer sur le connecteur d’accueil.

Lorsque vous installez ou retirez le iPod, tenez-le selon le
même angle que le connecteur d’accueil sur l’appareil. Ne
tirez pas le iPod trop loin vers l’avant.

Lorsque vous installez ou retirez le iPod, tenez fermement
l’appareil.

Ne tournez ou ne penchez pas le iPod car vous pourriez
endommager le connecteur.

Retirez le iPod lors du transport; sinon, cela pourrait
causer un problème de fonctionnement.

Si le iPod n’atteint pas la pièce d’appui située à l’avant de
l’appareil, fixez le coussin fourni sous la pièce d’appui.
Pour allumer/éteindre
l’appareil
Appuyez sur  (Marche/Veille).
L’indicateur d’alimentation s’allume lorsque l’appareil est
allumé.
Réglage du volume
Appuyez sur VOLUME +/− (VOL +/− sur la télécommande).
Conseil

L’indicateur d’alimentation clignote trois fois en vert
lorsque le volume est réglé au niveau maximum ou
minimum.
Utilisation d’un iPod sur le
plateau d’accueil
1 Placez le iPod sur le connecteur d’accueil.
Le connecteur d’accueil peut être incliné légèrement.
Pour plus de détails, consultez la section « Manipulation
d’un iPod ».
2 Appuyez sur .
3 Appuyez sur iPod pour activer la fonction pour
iPod.
L’indicateur iPod s’allume.
4 Appuyez sur .
La lecture démarre sur le iPod.
Si la lecture ne démarre pas sur le iPod, faites
fonctionner le iPod directement.
Vous pouvez faire fonctionner le iPod raccordé au
moyen de cet appareil ou du iPod lui-même.



Si la pile du iPod est extrêmement faible, chargez-la un
moment avant l’utilisation.


d’endommagement des données enregistrées sur un iPod
lors de l’utilisation du iPod raccordé à cet appareil.


Utilisation par diffusion de
musique sans fil
En utilisant la connexion Bluetooth, vous pouvez écouter la
musique d’un iPod ou d’un autre périphérique Bluetooth
avec la fonction sans fil de l’appareil.
Jumelage
Qu’est-ce que le jumelage?
Les périphériques Bluetooth doivent d’abord être
« jumelés » l’un à l’autre.
Une fois les périphériques Bluetooth jumelés, vous n’avez
plus à les jumeler à nouveau, sauf en cas de suppression des
informations de jumelage.

Pour jumeler avec un iPod
Placez le iPod et l’appareil à moins de 1 mètre (3 pi) l’un de
l’autre pour cette opération.
1 Appuyez sur .

émis et l’indicateur Bluetooth clignote rapidement.
Le mode de jumelage de l’appareil est activé.
4 Effectuez la procédure de jumelage sur le iPod
pour détecter l’appareil. Sélectionnez « Réglages

Bluetooth » et activez la fonction
Bluetooth.
L’indicateur Bluetooth s’allume.
Exemple : iPhone 4S
Une liste des périphériques détectés apparaît sur
l’afficheur.
L’appareil est identifié par le nom « RDP-X200iP ».
Si « RDP-X200iP » n’est pas affiché, répétez la procédure
à partir de l’étape 3.
5 Sélectionnez « RDP-X200iP » sur l’afficheur du
iPod pendant que l’indicateur Bluetooth clignote
rapidement.
Lorsque « Connecté » apparaît sur l’afficheur du iPod,
les opérations de jumelage et de connexion sont
terminées.
Exemple : iPhone 4S
Remarques

Le fonctionnement et l’affichage peuvent varier selon le
modèle de iPod et/ou la version de logiciel. Pour plus de
détails, reportez-vous au guide d’utilisation du iPod.

Le mode de jumelage est annulé après environ 5 minutes.

procédure de connexion Bluetooth ne soit terminée, les
informations de jumelage ne sont pas mémorisées et le
jumelage n’est pas terminé.
Remarques au sujet du jumelage avec un
périphérique Bluetooth autre qu’un iPod

Lors du jumelage avec un périphérique Bluetooth autre
qu’un iPod, après l’étape 3, la saisie d’un code
d’authentification peut être requise sur votre périphérique
Bluetooth. En pareil cas, entrez « 0000 ».

Le fonctionnement et l’affichage peuvent varier selon le
périphérique Bluetooth et/ou la version de logiciel. Pour
plus de détails, reportez-vous au guide d’utilisation du
périphérique Bluetooth.
Pour écouter le son
Placez le iPod et l’appareil à moins de 10 mètres (environ
30 pi) l’un de l’autre pour cette opération.
Vérifiez les points suivants avant de faire fonctionner
l’appareil.

La fonction Bluetooth du iPod doit être activée.

Le jumelage de l’appareil et du iPod est terminé. Si le
jumelage n’est pas terminé, effectuez le jumelage à
nouveau. (Consultez la section « Pour jumeler avec un
iPod »
.)
1 Appuyez sur .
2 Appuyez sur BLUETOOTH ( sur la
télécommande) pour activer la fonction
Bluetooth.
Le dernier iPod connecté sera reconnecté
automatiquement lorsque la fonction Bluetooth sera
activée.
3 Sélectionnez votre musique, vidéo, jeu, etc., à lire
sur le iPod. Pour plus de détails, reportez-vous au
guide d’utilisation du iPod.
Conseils

Si le dernier iPod connecté n’est pas reconnecté
automatiquement, appuyez sur BLUETOOTH ( sur la
télécommande). S’il n’est toujours pas reconnecté,
sélectionnez le nom de modèle de cet appareil à partir du
iPod. (Suivez les étapes 4 à 5 de la section « Pour jumeler
avec un iPod ».)

Pour connecter un autre iPod précédemment jumelé à cet
appareil, appuyez sur BLUETOOTH ( sur la
télécommande) pour déconnecter le iPod présentement
connecté. Sélectionnez ensuite le nom de modèle de
l’appareil à partir de l’autre iPod que vous souhaitez
connecter.

Vous pouvez charger le iPod sur le plateau d’accueil
pendant que vous écoutez de la musique via la connexion
Bluetooth.

Si le niveau de volume est faible, commencez par régler le
volume de l’appareil. Si le niveau de volume est toujours
trop faible, réglez le volume du périphérique Bluetooth.
Pour terminer l’écoute
Vous pouvez mettre fin à la connexion Bluetooth en
effectuant l’une des opérations suivantes.

Éteignez l’appareil.

Éteignez le iPod.

Appuyez sur BLUETOOTH ( sur la télécommande),
iPod ou AUDIO IN.

Utilisez le iPod pour mettre fin à la connexion. Pour plus
de détails, reportez-vous au guide d’utilisation du iPod.
Pour effacer la liste des modèles
déjà jumelés et mémorisés dans
l’appareil
1 Appuyez sur .
2 Appuyez sur BLUETOOTH ( sur la
télécommande) pour activer la fonction
Bluetooth.
3 Maintenez les touches BLUETOOTH et VOLUME −
enfoncées simultanément sur l’appareil.
L’indicateur MEGA BASS clignote.
Remarques

Vous pouvez suivre l’étape
3 pour effacer la liste même
pendant que la connexion Bluetooth est utilisée.

Cette opération ne peut pas être effectuée pendant que
l’appareil est en cours de jumelage.

Pour rétablir le jumelage avec cet appareil, supprimez le
nom de modèle de cet appareil à partir du iPod et
effectuez le jumelage à nouveau. (Consultez la section
« Pour jumeler avec un iPod »
.)
Raccordement d’appareils
en option
Vous pouvez raccorder un appareil en option, tel qu’un
lecteur de musique numérique portatif, pour en écouter le
son par l’entremise des haut-parleurs de cet appareil.
Assurez-vous d’éteindre chaque appareil avant d’effectuer les
raccordements.
1 Raccordez la prise de sortie de ligne du lecteur de
musique numérique portatif (ou d’un autre
appareil) solidement à la prise AUDIO IN située à
l’arrière de l’appareil en utilisant un câble de
raccordement audio approprié (non fourni).
2 Appuyez sur  pour mettre l’appareil en
marche.
3 Appuyez sur AUDIO IN pour activer la fonction
d’entrée audio.
L’indicateur d’entrée audio s’allume.
4 Mettez l’appareil raccordé en marche.
5 Démarrez la lecture sur l’appareil raccordé.
Le son de l’appareil raccordé est alors restitué par les
haut-parleurs de cet appareil.
Remarques

Le type de câble de raccordement audio requis varie selon
l’appareil en option. Assurez-vous d’utiliser un type de
câble approprié.

Si le niveau de volume est faible, commencez par régler le
volume de l’appareil. Si le niveau de volume est toujours
trop faible, réglez le volume de l’appareil raccordé.
Autres fonctions pratiques
Pour renforcer les graves
Appuyez sur MEGA BASS.
L’indicateur MEGA BASS s’allume. Pour retourner au son
normal, appuyez sur la touche à nouveau.
À propos de l’application
Application d’accueil dédiée pour iPod touch/iPhone/iPad
disponible dans la boutique d’applications d’Apple.
Recherchez « D-Sappli » et téléchargez l’application gratuite
pour en apprendre davantage sur les fonctions.
Caractéristiques

D-Sappli comprend diverses fonctions de minuterie :
Alarme, Réveil en musique et Mise en veille.

Vous pouvez programmer jusqu’à 10 alarmes en utilisant
les chansons d’un iPod ou la sonorité préréglée dans
D-Sappli comme alarme.
La fonction Réveil en musique vous permet d’écouter/de
mettre en pause la musique souhaitée à l’heure de votre
choix. La fonction Mise en veille vous permet de spécifier
une heure à laquelle arrêter la lecture de la musique. Les
fonctions Alarme, Réveil en musique et Mise en veille
fonctionnent conjointement avec l’alimentation de
l’appareil.
Les fonctions Alarme, Réveil en musique et Mise en veille
sont disponibles uniquement lorsque D-Sappli est activée.

D-Sappli comprend également une fonction
d’agrandissement de l’affichage d’horloge.
Remarques

Si l’application à relier avec cet appareil n’est pas
téléchargée sur le iPod touch/iPhone/iPad, un message
contextuel vous invitant à télécharger D-Sappli pourrait
s’afficher à plusieurs reprises.
Désactivez la fonction de lien de l’application pour ne plus
afficher le message contextuel.

Pour désactiver la fonction de lien de l’application :
Connectez l’adaptateur CA, puis appuyez sur / pour
éteindre l’appareil. Retirez le iPod touch/iPhone/iPad du
connecteur d’accueil. Tout en maintenant enfoncée la
touche , maintenez également enfoncée la touche /
de l’appareil pendant au moins 2 secondes. (L’indicateur
d’alimentation clignote deux fois lors de la désactivation.)

Pour réactiver la fonction de lien de l’application, répétez
les étapes ci-dessus. (L’indicateur d’alimentation clignote
une fois lors de l’activation.)




