Controlling the brightness
Brightness (or exposure) is closely linked to depth of eld. Brightness is governed by three factors: aperture (or iris), shutter speed
and gain. In a well-lit setting, an ND lter can be used to control the light level and enhance the “bokeh” effect.
Gain/ISO electronically amplifies the image signal level to
boost the image brightness for optimum excellent results in
low-light settings such as a theater stage, for instance, where a
conventional camera would generate too much image noise.
* The gain and ISO settings are independently adjustable, but only
one may be adjusted while lming.
Gain range: 0 dB – 30 dB
ISO range: 500 – 16000
