Using the Menu
FOCUS AREA
CENTER Adjusts the focus automatically on the subject
in the vicinity of the center of the screen.
• The auto focus operating range is indicated
by the focus area frame.
FLEXIBLE SPOT Adjusts the focus automatically at the touched
position on the screen.
• This allows you to focus on small subjects or
on a narrow area.
• The auto focus operating range is indicated
by the focus area frame.
AF DRIVE SPEED
7[FAST] to 1[SLOW]
(5[NORMAL])
Selects the speed for focusing used by auto
focus.
AF SUBJ. TRACK
SET
AF TRACKING DEPTH
5[WIDE] to
1[NARROW]
(3[NORMAL])
Selects the range for tracking subjects in the
depth direction.
AF SUBJ. SWITCH.
SENS.
5[RESPONSIVE] to
1[LOCKED ON]
(3[NORMAL])
Selects the time taken for focusing on a new
subject when switching subjects.
LOCK-ON AF
OFF, ON Turns the focus tracking function on/off for the
subject selected by touching the screen (p. 38).
FACE DETECTION
OFF, ON Turns face detection and the facial focus
function on/off (p. 39).
