Introduction The Bluetooth™ headset HBH-60 is a portable headset solution based on Bluetooth wireless technology. See “Guidelines for safe and efficient use” on page 14 and “Limited Warranty” on page 15 before using your headset. What is Bluetooth wireless technology? The Bluetooth wireless technology makes it possible to connect any compatible portable and stationary communications device without using cables.

Getting started Before you can use your headset, you must first: • Charge the headset battery, using an appropriate Sony Ericsson charger. • Pair the headset with a device, for example, a mobile phone. Compatible Sony Ericsson or Ericsson chargers: • Travel Charger CTR-10 • Standard Charger CST-13 • Cigarette Lighter Adapter CLA-11 Charging The headset comes with a built-in rechargeable battery.
Pairing To turn the headset off • Press and hold the call handling button until you hear a short high tone followed by a short low tone. The headset indicator light switches off. 5. Enter the headset passkey (0000), YES . The phone pairing procedure starts. 6. You may now replace the given headset name with a personal name tag, YES. When pairing has been completed, the headset indicator light flashes green. To pair the headset with another make of phone 1. Prepare your phone according to the phone’s user documentation on pairing. 2. Press the call handling button for up to 10 seconds until the indicator light on the headset flashes green and red.
Using the headset To adjust the ear hook for left-ear use: Once you have paired the headset with your phone, you can make and receive calls using the headset as long as it is turned on and within range of the phone – up to 10 m (30 ft) outdoors or up to 5 m (15 ft) indoors with no solid objects in between. For best performance, use the headset and phone in the same room.
If your phone supports voice dialling and it is activated, you can use this feature with the headset. The following instructions cover the use of the headset with a Sony Ericsson or Ericsson phone with built-in Bluetooth capability. Note: Always make sure the Bluetooth operation mode in the phone is on when using the Bluetooth headset. Making and answering calls Phone functionality is still available when the headset is connected.
Transferring sound from phone to headset If you make a call using your phone, you can transfer the sound to the headset if the headset is on, paired with the phone, and within range. For more information on voice commands, refer to the phone’s user documentation. Adjusting the volume You can adjust the headset speaker volume during a call, or the ring volume when you are not engaged in a call. Headset battery status With the headset on in standby mode, press and release both and . The battery status is indicated by one of these three signals, after an initial long green flash: • High – three green flashes • Medium – two green flashes • Low – one green flash Resetting the headset You may want to reset the headset to its default settings. No indication of charging is shown If you charge a headset battery that is empty, or has not been used for a long time, it may take up to 30 minutes before a light to indicate charging (a steady red light) appears. Verwenden der Freisprecheinrichtung Sobald das Headset mit dem Telefon gekoppelt ist, können Sie Anrufe über das Headset tätigen und annehmen. Optimale Resultate erzielen Sie, wenn sich Headset und Telefon in einem Raum befinden.
Hinweis: Achten Sie beim Einsatz des Bluetooth Headsets darauf, das der Bluetooth Betriebsmodus des Telefons eingeschaltet ist. Tätigen und Annehmen von Anrufen Die Funktionalität des Telefons bleibt bei angeschlossenem Headset erhalten. Zurücksetzen des Headsets Sie müssen gelegentlich die Standardeinstellungen des Headsets wiederherstellen. Dadurch werden auch alle vorhandenen Kopplungen gelöscht. Hinweis: Informationen zum Übertragen des Tons vom Headset zum Telefon finden Sie in der Bedienungsanleitung des Telefons. Unterbrochene Verbindung zum Headset Geht die Verbindung zum Headset während eines Anrufs verloren, müssen Sie den Anruf durch Drücken der Telefontaste YES zum Telefon übertragen.
Fehlerbehebung suchen Sie über das Menü GSM-Netze des Telefons nach einem anderen Netz. Keine Tonübertragung zwischen dem Headset und dem Telefon Das Headset und das verwendete Telefon müssen miteinander gekoppelt sein. Nur dann können sich die Geräte erkennen. Utilisation du casque Une fois que vous avez jumelé le casque avec votre téléphone, vous pouvez émettre et recevoir des appels avec le casque, à condition qu'il soit sous tension et à portée du téléphone (jusqu'à 10 mètres à l'extérieur et jusqu'à 5 mètres à l'intérieur sans obstacle physique interposé). Pour un niveau de performance optimal, utilisez le casque et le téléphone dans la même pièce.

Une batterie neuve ou qui n'a pas été utilisée pendant une longue période peut fournir un niveau de performance réduit pendant les premiers cycles d'utilisation. N'exposez pas la batterie à des températures extrêmes, jamais au-dessus de +55° C. Pour assurer une capacité optimale de la batterie, utilisez-la à température ambiante.
