(5) Close the cassette compartment by pressing the mark on the cassette compartment.

For details, refer to the operating instructions of your TV. Black bands appear on the LCD screen during playback in 16:9 WIDE mode [a]. The picture during playback on a normal TV [b] or a widescreen TV [c] are compressed in the widthwise direction.
