Initialization
About
Device Shutdown
Enables you to shut down (turn off) the device,
instead of leaving it in sleep mode.
[Pen Settings] [Pen Grip Style]: Selects the style that
is closest to the way you hold your
stylus.
[Advanced Calibration]: Adjusts
positioning between the screen’s
surface and the stylus tip.
[Pen Button Settings]: Sets Highlight
active / Eraser active / Button
inactive (handwriting only) when the
stylus button is pressed and
dragged.
[Eraser Animation]: Sets the erasing
effect of the animated circle
(page 33).
[Check for
Updates]
Checks the update information.
Setting Description
[Reset Device] Formats the internal memory and
resets all settings.
Note
 Note that the state may differ from
the factory default since you may
delete preconfigured data.
 After formatting, the device will
shut down.
[Reset Device to
Use Solution Only]
Changes this device to rental digital
paper mode.
Note
 This is the setting to use the Digital
Paper Solution.
 When changing is complete, the
internal memory will be initialized.
 After changing is complete, the
device will be shut down
automatically.
[Clear Keyboard
History]
Deletes words registered to the on-
screen keyboard history.
Setting Description
[Format Memory] Allows you to format the Digital
Paper’s internal memory and the
microSD card.
Note
 If you have formatted the device or
microSD card on your computer,
the device may not be able to
display transferred content. In this
case, use the device’s [Format
Memory] function to reformat the
device and your microSD card.
 When either memory is formatted,
content download stops.
Tip
 Before formatting, make sure to
back up data you wish to keep to a
computer via the device software.
Setting Description

Displays the device details including
the memory capacity and MAC
address in use.
[Legal
Information]
Displays trademark and copyright
information.
[Regulatory
Information]
Displays the VCCI mark based on
RULES FOR VOLUNTARY CONTROL
MEASURES, and the marks and
registration numbers of the radio
wave and radio communication acts.
[End User License
Agreement]
Displays the terms and conditions on
use of the device.
