Note You can only rotate the LCD panel anticlockwise. Picture in the mirror mode The picture on the LCD screen is a mirror-image. However, the picture will be normal when recorded. During recording in the mirror mode FN appears mirror-reversed in the viewfinder. When you press FN The indicator does not appear on the LCD screen.

Recording a picture Self-timer recording Recording automatically starts in about 10 seconds after you set the self-timer. You can also use the Remote Commander for this operation. (1) Set the POWER switch to CAMERA. (2) Press FN to display PAGE1 (p. 36). (3) Press SELFTIMER. The (self-timer) indicator appears on the LCD screen. (4) Press EXIT to make PAGE1 disappear. (5) Press START/STOP. The self-timer starts counting down from about 10 with a beep sound.

Making your own titles If you take five minutes or longer to enter characters in the standby mode while a cassette is in your camcorder The power automatically goes off. The characters you have entered remain stored in memory. Set the POWER switch to (CHG) OFF and start again from step 1 to complete your title. We recommend setting the POWER switch to VCR (p. 123) or removing the cassette so that your camcorder does not automatically turn off while you are entering title characters.
