A vertical band appears when
recording candlelight or electric light
in the dark.
• This occurs when the contrast between the
subject and the background is too high.
This is not a malliu_ction.
A vertical white line may appear on
an image taken in bright light.
• This phenomenon is called the smear effect.
This is not a malfimction.
Black bands appear when you
record a TV screen or computer
screen.
• Set [STEADYSHOT] to IOFEI(p. 65).
[S. NIGHTSHOT PLS] cannot be
operated.
• Set the NIGHTSHOT PLUS s_itch to ON
/p. 37).
[COLOR SLOW SHTR] does not
operate correctly.
• [COLOR SLOW SHTR] may not operate
correctly in total darkness. Use NightShot
plus or [S. NIGHTSHOT PLS].
You cannot adjust [LCD BL LEVEL].
• You cannot adjust [LCD BL LEVEL] _xhcn:
The LCD panel is closed on your
camcorder with the LCD screen facing out.
The power is supplied from the AC
Adaptor.
You cannot use [WIDE SELECT]
(DCR-DVDt 08/DVD608).
• You cannot use [WIDE SELECT] if your
disc is DVD+RW.
You cannot play back a disc.
• Turn the POWER switch to turn on your
camcordcrand press[] (VIEW" IMAGES).
• On the HOME MENU, touch [_ (VIEW"
IMAGES), then ]VISUAL INDEX].
• Check out the disc compatibility (p. 14).
• Insert a disc with the recording side facing
your camcorder (p.28).
• The disc that was recorded, lkmnatted, of
finalized on other devices may not be played
back on your camcorder.
The playback image is distorted.
• Clean the disc using a sofl cloth (p. 10l).
Still images stored on a "Memory
Stick Duo" cannot be played back.
• Still images cannot he played back if you
have modified files or folders, or have edited
the data on a computer. (The file name
flashes in that case.) This is not a
malfunction (p. 102).
• Still images recorded on other devices may
not be played back. This is not a malfunction
(p. 102).
"[_" is indicated on an image in the
VISUAL INDEX screen.
• Loading of the data may haw' l_dlcd.Itmay
be indicated correctly when you turn off the
power and then turn it on again, or repeat
removing and inserting the "Memory Stick
Duo" a couple of times.
• This may ,ppear on still images recorded on
other devices, edited on a computer, etc.
