The recording angle looks different
(DCR-DVD308/DVD708).
The recording angle may look different
depending on the mode of your camcorder.
This is not a malfimction.
The actual recording time for movie
is less than the expected
approximate recording time of a
disc.
Depending on an o/!iect, such as a fast
moving ol_iect,the time available for
recording may shorten (p. 14).
The recording stops.
The tcmpcnmue of your camcorder is
extremely high. Turn off your camcorder
and leave it R)r a while in a cool place.
Moisture condensation has occurred with the
disc. Turn off your camcorder and leave it
about I hour in acool place (p. 105).
There is a time difference between
the point where you press START/
STOP and the point that the
recorded movie starts/stops.
On your camcordcr, there may bca slight
time difference between the point where you
press START/STOP and the actual point that
recording movie starts/stops. This is not a
malfunction.
The movie aspect ratio (16:9/4:3)
cannot be changed. (DCR-DVD308/
DVD708)
You cannotchangethe movie aspectratio if
your disc is DVD+RW.
The auto focus does not function.
Set [FOCUS] to [AUTO] (p. 75).
The recording conditions ,re not suitable for
auto focus. A(!iu',l the focus mamlally
(p. 75).
[STEADYSHOT] does not function.
Set [STEADYSHOT] to [ON] (p. 65).
[STEADYSHOT] may not be able to
compensate for excessive vibrations.
The BACK LIGHT function does not
function.
The BACK LIGHT function cannot bc used
during Easy Handycam operation.
Tiny spots in white, red, blue, or
green appear on the screen.
The spots appear _qlcn you are recording
with [S. NIGHTSHOT PLS] or [COLOR
SLOW SHTR]. This is not a malfimction.
The color of the image is not
correctly displayed.
Set the NIGHTSHOT PLUS s_ itch to OFF
/p. 37).
The screen image is bright, and the
subject does not appear on the
screen.
Sel Ihe NIGHTSHOT PLUS swilch to OFF =o

The screen image is dark, and the
subject does not appear on the
screen (DCR-DVD308/DVD708).
Press md hokl DISP/BATT INFO for a fc_
seconds to turn on Ihe backlight (DCR-
DVD308/DVD708) (p. 27).
Undesirable flicker occurs.
This occurs when recording images under a
fluorescent lamp, sodium lainD or mercury
lamp. This is not malfimction.
