"InfoLITHIUM" battery pack (H series).
"Inf_LITHIUM" H series battery packs
have the U_,_,o_,rH,,,_Qmark.
What is an "InfoLITHIUM" battery
pack?
An "InfoLITHIUM" battery pack is :,
lithium-ion battery pack that has functions
for communicating information related to
operating conditions between your
camcorder and an optional AC Adaptor/
charger.
The "InfoLITHIIJM" battery pack
calculates the power consumption
according to the operating conditions of
your camcorder, and displays the remaining
battery time in minutes.
With an AC Adaptodcharger. the remaining
battery time and charging time appear.
To chargethe batterypack
• Be sure to charge tile battely pack beti_we you
Slilrl ilsing yo/ir cluncorder.
• We ivcommcnd charging the battery pack in an
alnbient temperature of between 10 °C tw 30 °C
(5(I °F tw 86 °F) until the CHG (cllarge) lamp
turns oil. If you charge tile battery pack outside
of this temperature range, you may not be able
to charge it efficiently.
• After charging is colnplete, disconnect the cuble
flom tile DC IN jack on your camcorder or
remove lhe baltery pack.
To usethe batterypack effectively
• Battery p+_ckpertornl+mce decreases when the
surrounding temperature is lO °C (50 OF)or
below, and the length of time you can use the
battery pack becomes shorter. In that case, do
one of tile lollowing to rise tile ballery pack li)r a
longer time.
Put the battery pack in a pocket tw warln it up,
and insert it in your camcorder right before
you start tcking shots.
Use a large capacity battery pack: NP-FH70/
NP-FHI00 (optional).
• Frcquenl use of tile LCD screen or a ircqumlt
phJyback, t_st ii_rward or rewind operalion
wears out the battery pack tJster.
We recommend using a large capacity battery
pack: NP-FH70/NP-FHItX).
• Be sure to sel lhe POWER swilcll to OFF
(CHG) when not recording or playing back on
your camcorder. The baltcl2i pack is also
consllnled when yollr canlcorder is ill rccordillg
standby or playback pause.
• Have spare battery packs ready ti)r two or three
tilnes the expected recording tftne, and inake
trial recordings using a DVD-RW/DVD+RW
beli_rc making tile actual recording.
• Do not expose tile battely pack lo water. Tile
battery pack is not water resistanl,

• When the power goes off even though tile
remaining battery tftne indicator indicates that
tile batlery pack has enougll powcr lo operale,
charge the battery pack hilly again. Remaining
battery time will be indicated correctly. Note,
llowever, that tile battery indication will not be
restwred if it is used in high temperatures tot a
long tinlc, or if left in a tully charged state, or
when the baltcry pack is ftcquently used. Use
the remaining battery time indication as a rough
guide only.
• The _-\Jmark that indicates low battm'y flashes
even if there arc slill 5 to 10 minutes of battery
tinlc remaining, depending on the operating
conditions or ambient temperature.
