• The shutter can be released regardless of the setting in the manual focus, even if the
focus is not achieved.
You can set the AF illuminator to on or off. For details on AF illuminator,
see page 62.
Note
• When [AF illuminator] is set to [Off], the AF illuminator of the flash (not supplied)
does not function.
AF-A setup
AF area
Priority setup
AF The shutter cannot be released when the focus is not
confirmed.
Release The shutter can be released even when the focus is not
confirmed. Select this setting if the shooting opportunity
takes precedence.
AF illuminator
Auto Automatically fills the AF illuminator if necessary.
Off Does not fill the AF illuminator.
