Language & input

Set functions for language and text entry. Settings can be made for the following items.

Item Description

Language Set the shown language.

Current Keyboard Set keyboard.

Xperia™ Chinese keyboard Set operation of Chinese keyboard.

Xperia™ keyboard Set operation of international keyboard.

Google voice typing Setting Google Voice Typing.

Japanese keyboard Set operation of Xperia

Japanese keyboard.

Spell checker Enable spelling to be checked during entry.

Personal dictionary Add words to the user dictionary.

Voice input Enable language and speech output in Google

voice typing.

Text-to-speech output Enable Text-to-speech engine or speech rate, or

play a demonstration. Text-to-speech engine is

not available in Japanese.

Pointer speed Set the speed of the pointer for a

mouse/trackpad.
