A drop-down selection box displays the dialup networking connections that have been created using the

Connection Wizard

. A button allows the user to connect, cancel, or disconnect an existing session.

It is possible for the user to bypass the built-in GC75 Connection Manager and launch or terminate dial-up

networking sessions directly from the Windows Network Connections folder. In the case of launching new

connections, the additional connection-specific initialization strings are not sent to the modem and the

connection is attempted with whatever settings or power-up defaults may have been left in the modem from a

previous session.
