Taking a photo using smile
detection

With Smile detection set, point the
camera at your subject.
･ Each detected face is framed (up to 5
faces).
･ The camera selects which face to
focus on. A yellow frame shows the
face in focus.

The camera automatically takes
the photo when the subject in
focus smiles.
･ The photo is saved on the microSD
card.
･ To take a photo though no smile is
detected, press k tightly until it
stops.

Press x to turn off the camera.

Press and hold k for over a
second.
･ If the still image shooting screen does
not appear, tap .

On the shooting screen, press
t, then tap a setting item.
･ There are 5 setting icons on the
shooting screen in advance. The
displayed setting icon changes
depending on the setting conditions.
･ For setting items and icons, see "Still
camera settings" (P.125).

Tap one of the options in the
setting that you have selected.
･ After setting, press x to return to
the shooting screen.
･ The setting icon displayed on the
shooting screen is changed to the
selected one.
